  1. Welcome to our plastic playground Eric.
  2. Welcome to our plastic playground George.
  3. Welcome to our plastic playground Randy.
  4. Thanks for the update Larry. As always, looking forward to the return of MCM... I need to see a model car magazine in my hands during these times of isolation. The lack of magazines and Model Shows is getting very wearing on us all.
  5. Most sincere condolences for your loss Carl. My Mom passed back in '91 at the age of 72 and I think of her often.
  6. Welcome to our plastic playground Charles.
  7. Nice looking Pontiac Marty.
  8. Welcome to our plastic playground Joseph.
  9. I usually paint down in my basement, and I normally put at least 2, sometimes 3 coats of paint depending on the color. Then I normally put on at least 3 coats of clear to have a good layer of protection when I do the BMF work.
  10. You did a great job John.
  11. I've used Detail Masters detail wire for upholstery piping several times with great success. As Daniel stated above, I used Zap-A-Gap very slowly and carefully, applying it in small amounts using a toothpick.
  12. Nice work Uwe. Welcome to our plastic playground.
  13. Congrats to my friend Rick.
  14. Nice job for your first try. It'll get better, and easier, each time you do it even though it is a bit time consuming.
  15. I am soooooo glad that I was able to order and get everything that I wanted from Modelhaus before they shut down. I still have 2 of their complete kits of 1950's cars ('57 Lincoln & '59 Oldsmobile), and a couple of 1950's conversion pieces ('51 Ford & '52 Chevy) that I have yet to work on. While I definitely wouldn't mind making a huge profit on them by selling them on EBAY, that's not why I bought them. They are going to get built, as long as I live long enough to do it.
  16. Welcome to our plastic playground Chang.
  17. As a lover of all 1950's cars, I use promos and/ or diecasts to fill the "gaps" in the cars that are not kitted...... as follows...
  18. Carl, I am so very sad to hear this news from you. I wish you well and pray for you. Please try to remain a member of our "club" here as you are a valued member my friend.
  19. Yeah...... Just do an EBAY search for "Modelhaus" and see the ridiculous prices this stuff is listed at.
  20. I wholeheartedly agree. Scalecoat takes just about any paint off of plastic, whether it is model kit parts or promos. Just don't use it on resin as it will melt and/or deform it.
  21. Welcome to our plastic playground Steve.
  22. Try www.modelroundup.com as they have pretty much anything you might want or need.
  23. I wanted to use a 1959 PA plate, but that year was not offered. I wound up picking 2000.
  24. Congrats Larry, and I look forward to MCM coming back even better than before.
