  1. Beautiful looking paint finishes and detailing. The engine, chassis, and suspension all look great.
  2. Great looking paint finish and vinyl top. The engine is cleanly done, and the interior looks great. Like the stance.
  3. Beautiful looking bright blue finish and the body trim is all cleanly done. Like the contrasting interior color.
  4. I always enjoy watching a build by someone with a personal connection to the vehicle. Family cars are especially special.
  5. I see some parking lot pictures here, so this is something I came across a couple of days ago while visiting a local Dodge dealership.
  6. Broke a few ribs as a young man bailing off of a motorcycle. Not even injured as bad as this and I still remember how miserable I was then, so I can't even imagine what you must be going through. Get well and be safe.
  7. The paint issue started with a new can of black paint, and I didn't think to inspect to verify it was the correct black since it was in the correct place on the sales rack. The PS-5 black made me think that we might start getting Tamiya's new paints. Turns out this is a paint designed to be used on Polycarbonate bodies. Talked to someone familiar with this type of paint and was told it would never turn out shinny. They were correct on that, and it has a pebbly finish as well. So now I have a can of black paint that looks like undercoating.
  8. Very realistic looking build. The finishes look like what I have seen from these events.
  9. Beautiful looking finishes and engine detailing.
  10. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The body trim looks great. Like the realistic looking finishes on the undercarriage and gas tank. The photography adds to the already outstanding finish.
  11. Great looking pursuit unit. I would hate to look in the rear-view mirror and see this. Like how you added all of the little PD due dads.
  12. Like the more nostalgic look with the wide whites and primer.
  13. Beautiful looking paint work and your wife's designs look amazing. The interior and engine look great as well.
  14. Second paint job. Waiting for it to get good and dry to polish and start with the chrome foil.
  15. I agree, this does look cleaner without all the decals. My last two trucks have been white, and they don't show the dust as much as other colors until really dirty.
  16. Ordered a new 2010 Charger RT 5.7 with AWD. Thing was an animal when you wanted it to be and a smooth cruiser the rest of the time. Best open road car ever.
  17. As everyone else has pointed out, "pinning" small trim parts like this seems to be the best way to secure them. The only thing I might suggest using are simple staples from an old fashion swing arm stapler like you would find on any office desk. A box of the staples would last you a lifetime and they are a little bendable to help when positioning the part on the body.
  18. Hi Jim. Ya I'm trying to match the original car and it was black with a gold metallic in the stripe along the sides of the roof. I'm on my second paint job since I picked up the wrong black paint the first time, it was for remote control cars that are painted on the inside. You will notice any future builds will look like they have black undercoating, can't let it go to waste. I'll be polishing it here in the next day or two when I'm sure it is good and dry and then start the chrome foil, and this thing has a lot of that. Thanks for your interest.
  19. These kits really are well done, and I haven't encountered any fitment issues yet. The Custom version which is what I'm building has the engine option of 3-twos or 2-fours along with some nice factory type cast iron tube headers. The only exhaust provided is a set of side pipes and no OEM mufflers. No big deal as I'm sure you have more than a few options to make your own exhaust.
  20. Hi Len, What I used was Testors/ Rust-Oleum Extreme Lacquer called Pure Gold #1846T. This is sort of a metal flake like color with a lot of mini partials that reflect the light. I agree with how it looks in the pictures, but in person it does have a more gold tone too it. I sprayed the seats and door panels at arm's length in very short bursts. The factory seats on the Starliners were beautifully done with multicolored materials.
  21. Got the interior painted. Used Tamiya Matt Black for the vinyl portion of the seat and a dusting of Metallic Gold over the cloth portions of the seats and doors. The chrome is done with a Gundam Marker. Little final clean up and detailing before assembly.
  22. Great looking build. The paint and body trim are all well done.
  23. One has to have a little understanding of how vehicles are or were taxed in England. Guess they thought of a three wheeled vehicle as a motorcycle and the taxes were much lower than a four wheeled vehicle.
  24. If this is anything like their '65 Plymouth kit, I'll be buying a few.
  25. Great looking 1:1 Camaro and your model looks like it will be the same. Always fun to build a model of your present or past vehicles.
