Dead Police cars.?☹️
espo replied to NYLIBUD's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
I know locally that it is common for people who aren't even impaired to run into cars and trucks as well as police cars sitting on the side of the road. Beyond the questions about proper maintains, I noticed none of these vehicles had the "cow catcher" style front bumpers that are common in many jurisdictions. A few Pit Maneuvers can do a lot of damage without those bumpers. -
There are a few options available as to the type of lenses for your eyes. This would be best discussed with the surgeon doing your operation. The doctor would be better able to explain the differences and help you decide which would be in your best interest. I went with a normal long-distance lens since I also have a stigmatism in one eye that requires me to use "reader" glasses for reading and real close work. For the computer per his suggestion, I'm using some 2x over the counter glasses with a filter to protect my eyes from the computer glare. I also got a Veralux type glasses that have a normal lens and a lower portion designed for reading and they will darken in the sunlight.

Beautiful looking finish and you can see the reflections on the roof and trunk lid.

Having done the same thing a few years ago I agree. Didn't know how bad it was until I got it corrected. As I'm sure you're finding out your eyes are far more light sensitive than before the operation. At first it can be like staring into a headlight to go outside on a sunny day. As long as you don't need a prescription lenses just about any good pair of polarized sunglasses should work.

Like the color and finish the base model white grill and bumpers add to the look. -
As others have mentioned, even getting on the forum has become a problem. Yesterday and again just now I had to make several attempts and even then, got bumped off a couple of times. Often an error message comes up after the little ball in the upper corner of the screen had been revolving for more than a few minutes. While moving around in the site and trying to read others posts it is like I'm on the old dial up systems. I understand that there is a lot that goes into running the forum and that those that work with it put a lot of effort into doing that, but I think if they are aware of the problems they will be able to fix them in the near future.

Like the tired looking finish. -
Very impressive body work can't imagine what all went into the T-Tops. Great looking paint color and finish and the interior color goes well with the body color. Like the engine detailing and the wheels used.
-
Beautiful looking paint colors and finish. The chrome trim is all cleanly done. The appearance is very realistic looking.
-
Looks great and I like the slightly ruff look about the body panel fit, much like the movie car was. I also followed your WIP and appreciate watching all of your work that went into this build.
-
The paint finish looks like the extra effort really paid off and the color looks dead on. As for the TransAm on the trunk, maybe the car was built on a Monday after a big weekend. The wheels and stance look great.

I know politics is officially off the table here as it should be. I have one thing to say and just leave it at that. I don't think even Steven King could make this stuff up.

I can vouch for what you are saying as I have been fighting the same battle. While the biggest problem has been that my hand can easily reach my mouth while holding an overflowing fork. My biggest challenge started with the removal of growths on my Thyroid gland a few years ago. We have a program at our local Library for seniors that is a twice weekly aerobic workout. This alone has increased the ability to move about and reach for high and low objects in the home as well as an increase in our sense of balance. The first of July we joined an 24/7 fitness center and have started going 4 or 5 times a week for at least an hour or more of exercise on the equipment. While weight has only changed a few pounds since, the feeling of wellbeing is more than surprising. Dinners now are usually a salade with a little chicken and lots of carrots.

The color is really eye catching and the paint finishes are all very smooth. Like the clean detailing of the interior and engine. -
I have used this paint and color to replicate a '66 Impala SS that I had owned long ago. The one thing that I liked was the paint coverage with lots of piment in the paint. One or two light coats tend to give you good coverage without burring any fine body or trim details.

Great looking color and the body lines show well.

Besides the well laid out chassis I like the way you shaped the roof and rear window area of the body. -
Hi Bob, I was just trying to tell you that I'm glad the stent worked for you. I was sharing that I went through the same producer over twenty years ago and the changes were a dramatic improvement.
-
Sorry Mike, this was meant for Bob Seagraves.
-
Glad it all went so well for you. I had the "Widow Maker" stent done for my birthday in 2002. Everything changed for the better afterwords and hopefully it will be the same for you.
