Great looking Corvette. At first, I thought this was the inspiration for the model build. The tile on the counter looks like it could be a showroom floor.

Beautiful looking paint color and finish on your Cuda. The engine and chassis detailing looks great.
-
The paint looks almost to pretty for a Farm Implement. Great detailing on the decals, wheels and engine.

A lot to be said for the gloss black body and red interior to match the wheels. Whichever you decide, think about matching colors on the wheels and interior.

Consider doing a spoon test just as you would when checking a paint color. Take a sacrificial decal or two and try different way to apply over different paints and when and what type of paint to use to get your desired effect. This way you will not damage the decals that you want to use on your build.

I have tried getting the two halves glued together as evenly as posable. Often there is some "truing" of the mating surfaces before gluing. Seems common for there to be an uneven surface between the two parts even after all this and gluing them together. Usually sanding the two halves after gluing them together and making the oil pan and transmission as even as possible as well as the top of the block under the intake manifold area. The area behind the timing chain cover and water pump is also often an issue. After all of these surfaces are as even as you can get them there will still be a visible line where they meet and often a minor gap. I suggest using whatever you would use on any other problem area on say the body to fill the gaps. In my case I just use some Tamiya Putty, but again whatever you would normally work with should be just fine. Sanding the affected areas after the filler has hardened and then primer to see if the area is smooth enough for you. Can take a couple of applications of filler depending. Then you should be ready for a color coat.

Great looking little diorama. For anyone who follows Rally Racing you can hear it in your head just looking at it.

A tale of two finished trucks.

They both have beautiful looking paint colors and finishes. The stance really sets the theme on these two. Like the wheels and tires. -
Great looking body color and interior. Like the engine and chassis detailing. The interior looks really well done.
-
Great looking paint and decal finishes along with the vinyl roof. Not a common color for a Judge, more of a dressed-up cruiser look. Like the engine detailing and the wheels.

Looking forward to watching this build. -
Like the fade paint work.

Sort of defeats the whole reason for having headers in the first place. More noise and back pressure in one barbaric modification.

I have done both of those in the past. Home Depot or Lowes has some great deals on ceiling fans. We added two too our garage when we moved a couple of years ago and had done the same at our old house. Something to consider on the painted floor. For a model room with light foot traffic with proper prep the floor paint kits at the home supply stores should be ok. In the case of a garage floor with cars coming and going, get a pro to do it. I did all the prep per the instruction including the acid etching for the floor before painting the garage floor. Allowed the floor to dry for the better part of a week, and when my wife came home from work, she parked her car in the garage. The next morning, she backed out and lifted an impression of her four tires. The other problem was my floor jack and stands along with my creeper would leave marks all over the floor. At the last house we had a local company that specialized in doing cabinets and floor in garages and commercial applications. Ten years later the floors still looked as good as new, in fact per our real estate agent, as soon as he saw the garage he called his wife and said they're buying our house. Turns out he is one of the top techs at the local Audi dealership, so you know he appreciated it.

Thank you for sharing. Like seeing what others are building and showing, especially from areas far away.

Very realistic looking paint and body finish. -
1959 Ford F100 Kustom Kab
espo replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The Kustom grill and front end really change the appearance of this along with the stance. I wouldn't have thought of those colors together, but they sure look good after seeing them done. The short bed has always been a more appealing looking body style. -
Beautiful looking paint finish and color that goes well with the interior. Clean body trim and stripping. Like the engine detailing.

Great looking paint colors and finish. Like the stance along with the wheels and tires. Here we have a TV program on Hot Rod TV called Iron Resurrection that id about a custom shop in Texas. The owner built a '64 Galaxie with a very similar paint treatment.
-
Foil looks good and I like the body and interior colors.

What did you see on the road today?
espo replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Looks like a '50's DeSoto grill which was a common treatment on custom Mercury's at one time. -
Beautiful looking paint finish and color. The black paint work doesn't hide any body flaws. The chrome body trim is all cleanly done. Like the wheels and tires.

1953 Mercury M100
espo replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great looking patina finish. The addition of the Mercury trim looks good. Like the wheels and tires along with the stance. -
Like the overall look of the body and paint. The roof insert looks well worn. The unusual wheel design catches your eye along with the color matched heads on the engine.
