  1. What sort of Nurfs are you thinking for the front?
  2. Did much the same thing only with a '57 Ford Custom, the base model with a back seat, 312 and 3 speed with the O/D. The Hurst Shifter even came with a decal that I put on the ash tray cover "Shift as hard as you want but don't break your arm". Drove it like I stole it and never had to even readjust the shift linkage.
  3. Sounds like you're going about this the right way. May I suggest another step to think about. Take a look on MAXL.Com for a description of the product and application to see if you think it may work for you. I have always prided myself on keeping up the appearance as well as maintenance of our vehicles. Last year I went over both of our cars and the difference is nothing short of amazing and the cars stay cleaner longer as well. I can now spot cars on the road that have had this or a similar application done. I got a 20 oz. spray bottle off of Amazon Prime. The application process is little more than spray and wipe.
  4. I always check with and reread the owners manuals in all of our vehicles for suggested maintains. I'm not a beliver in 100k transmission fluid changes either.
  5. Great looking weathering and the unusual subject.
  6. Like the chopped top and the great engine detailing.
  7. Great looking paint color and door signage. The headlights give it a more updated look. Interested in the whip antenna that you added. Like the bed side boards. Built one of the original issues of this kit and they had a plastic representation of the side boards at that time. Nice bed floor.
  8. Great looking paint and clean trim. Did you stretch the rear wheel openings? Like the stance and the overall look.
  9. Great looking paint finish and like the new color. FYI on your CHP picture. I left California in 1996 after more than 30 years living there. Had a few unfortunate inter actions with the CHP. At the time the CHP would have a half dozen Mustangs lined up on an on ramp with a plane above looking for speeders. In Sacramento we used to call it "The I80 Grand Prix" in the morning going to work and home at night. The Mustangs were usually all white, but other colors would show up sometimes. They would use the down hill on ramps to get up to speed pretty quick and pull into the slow lane like they were shot out of a cannon. Don't ask how I know, just know it could get expensive.
  10. Might try using a Clay Bar product to get the oxidation and dead paint off along with the imbedded dirt and grime. Follow with a good wax job then. One of the draw backs to getting into a "buffing" situation is you're removing some of the paint .
  11. Don't know what or how you plan to get rid of the Wasps? Had a similar issue with the little burgers getting into a ceiling fan on our patio and into the attic area. Check out Home Depot, or Lowes, for ORTHO Home Defense spray. Comes in a one gallon container with a fold out wand and the handle has a battery powered spray so you will have some distance from what you're spraying. Sounds like you may need the whole gallon. Let it sit for a day after spraying before reapproaching their nests as they are sort of territorial and sometimes die slowly, which may seem fitting anyway.
  12. Congratulations on the well deserved award, especially when you consider the compition.
  13. Beautiful looking Autobon Cruiser.
  14. You could call this build a labor of love and it shows. Your attention to the engine details show just how busy it could get under the hood. Great looking paint color and finish. The vinyl roof is well done along with the interior. Like seeing the showroom finishes and stock look.
  15. Love the paint color and the front view show the great detailing.
  16. Maybe try some masking tape along the edge of the molding that you are foiling. This will give you something to help guide the blade and if it does jump onto the body it shouldn't leave a mark. Another bonus is that there would be little or no residue from the foil adhesive. Don't have the second cup of coffee in the morning may help as well.
  17. That is the definition of adorable just look at expression on it's little face. I don't dare show this picture to my wife or we would have to fence our yard for this little puppy.
  18. Dogs are much like people when it comes to personalities.
  19. Great find and save. Listen to Bill's advice on getting it running again as that will save you a ton of money. Got to wonder about the why's and how this wound up where you found it.
