Not sure of my table assignment yet. I'm thinking about getting there sometime after 4 pm today to both unload the models for sale and inter a few in the show. I'm the old balding guy with a full beard and the good-looking younger blond woman is my wife. Only getting one table usually puts me on one of the ends of the rows of tables.

Questions for anyone familiar with CA smog laws

One thing to consider on the Dealer Plate use issue. California may "Rain" on the dealer for allowing you to use a Dealer Plate if you aren't an employee of the dealership. -
Great looking paint and clean body trim.

Great detailing goes a long way on this.

I'll be wanting one of these kits to recreate my old Baja from when I lived in the Pismo Beach area.

While the molds have probably been melted down, I still wonder if the molds for the old AMT annuals of the '60 and '61 Plymouth Valiant and Dodge Lancer compacts are still out there. -

Great looking panel. I agree with you on the Kentucky Barrel livery. Like your color scheme better than the box art. Great looking paint finish and body detailing. -
What did you see on the road today?

Wonder how long that driver has worked for that outfit, not counting today. -

Another, secondhand Wheel Horse story. Up until when we moved two years ago, we had a next-door neighbor who was a retired career Army officer. Over the course of the twenty plus years we were on the best of terms and would often help one another with major gardening projects. Don had this old mower in the corner of his garage and used it primarily during the winter months with a plow blade on the front and chains on the rear tires. He plowed our drive a few times until I bought a snow blower. That tractor could push more snow than it had a right too. -
Beautiful looking body paint work and the chassis and engine detailing is outstanding as well.

Beautiful replication of the original car. Like the rear license plate dragging the ground.

Just need enough room for an injured person to lay down while a Medic tries to keep them from bleeding out. -
Great subject and your paint work is as well. I notice a few trim items on your friends Nova and I'm wondering about the body's origin. I owned a new '72 Nova SS long ago so sometimes I see things that make me wonder about the body trim. First the chrome moldings around the side windows would have been part of an optional body trim package. Second the side marker lights would indicate a base 6-cylinder car. Third the rear panel trim between the taillights looks to be from a later model car that had wider taillights and would have been found on an SS model. I'm thinking this car may have been built with parts from many different year models as that is pretty common. Your pictures look as if you have already corrected the front fender markers and the trunk lid trim removal should be easily done as well.

Been following your body mods on this build. I have not offered any suggestions since it seemed as though they were not needed. Your mention of the turn signal lights made me think of something I have seen done on some contemporary customs. I have noticed that some builders of 1:1 cars are using a headlight that has a turn signal built in to the lense. Don't know if that would work in your case, but just a thought. I think that placing the turn signals behind the grill area would detract from that overall design.

Always a great show and swap meet. I have a table in the swap meet. Send me a list of anything you want and have been unable to find and I'll see if I have it in my stash.

Beautiful looking paint work and body trim. Like the showroom build style. Man that's shinny.
-
Great looking GTO. Like the colors and the side stripe makes it look like it's going fast sitting still. Nice stance.
-
Great looking color and finish. Like the chassis and engine detailing.
-
Great looking little '32 five window. Like the way you detailed the engine and chassis. By changing the finishes from all that chrome, they now look far more realistic.
-
Beautiful looking body and trim and the color really complements the body lines. This is a kit I would like to see back on the shelves.

Great looking cars and trucks. Like the variety of styles. -
Great looking showroom stock appearing build. Like the clean detailing on the body trim and the interior.
-
Great looking color combination with the interior. I think the area you marked in your photo has to do with the fast back design to fill the interior gap. Notice that there is also a straight across design if the interior is used for the same year model roadster model they also offered.
