1941 Chevy Pickup

Great looking frame build as well as the engine. I also like your use of color for the body. -
1949 Ford Four-Door Custom - Under Glass - Dec 22/22
espo replied to Phildaupho's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Great looking body work. Changing this too a four-door was done very smoothly. -
Great looking job on the roof line making the four-door body style.

I don't recognize the box art on the Camaro box, maybe a Round 2 reissue?

I have been watching this build and your Baja kit for the Type 1 with interest. Many moons ago I had a Baja Bug that I used the other style of the day. This was the one with the headlights close together in the nose with the fenders cut higher and a larger scoop on the back that also included the license plate mount. I would gladly share a couple of photos if you thought this would be a style you would be interested in producing. I obviously would be a buyer and there may be others interested as well.

The paint looks great. I like the color match on the engine. What sort of finish did you use on the supercharger and injectors?

What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)

I like the metal flake looking color. We used to refer to this finish as "Bass Boat Flake" since it was pretty common on the Bass fishing boats of the era. -
What would YOU like to see as a model
espo replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I could get behind either or both of the '66 or '68 Biscayan or Bel Air two doors. I ordered a '68 Bel Air to replace my '66 Impala SS because of the insurance rates at the time. That aside, I have always sort of liked the basic sedan bodies without really knowing why. -
What did you see on the road today?

I got lucky and he went after the other guy in the fast lane. I looked down and I was at 80 mph plus on cruise, but the other guy was gaining on me, so I guess he got the ticket. -
The trailer says they are looking for drivers to join their team. They may have an additional opening now.

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Enjoyed your build on this and your attention to details.

I like the idea of this project. The interior seat patterns differ between the Chevelle and the GTO. Using the GTO door panels and working them into the Chevelle's longer side panels might work. The seats, unless you want buckets, might require converting the buckets into a bench for the front seat. The rear bench could be notched a little to match the Chevelle rear seat. All just depends on the look you're going for.

Saw a KHP sitting on an overpass on I-70, just in time to hit the brakes. -
I had a twenty burning a hole on my pocket yesterday and had to stop by HL. While I have the Revell '69 Chevelle SS396 kit already I thought another might be a good idea. Sometimes I just can't help it and just have to buy something since it's 40 % off.

Great looking Ute, just what prosperous Cattle Station owner would have to have.

I like the way the top is chopped, doesn't look out of proportion with the rest of the body.
-
Beautiful looking color and finish. Very nicely detailed interior.
-
I like the way you personalized this build. The added details really make this stand out. Having never built this kit I was wondering what engine the kits engine represents.

Trifecta of A Bones. They all have beautiful looking finishes. The red Phaeton looks interesting.

Defiantly captured the look with the stance and the Tunnel Ram intake. Paint looks nice and smooth, and the trim is cleanly done.
-
Great looking OOB build. Clean looking trim and I like the AMT bumper sticker.

Looks like an OEM type body. -
Plowboy makes a very good point that some may not realize. The '55 thru '57 Chevrolets built with a six-cylinder engine had the radiators mounted in front of the core support since the engine was longer than the V8 engines. May stand to reason that the same clearance issue would exist with our scale models. Should you be trying to build a stock engine the air cleaner in the resent Round 2 reissue of the Chevrolet pickup may have the closest to original shape. For a slightly modified engine the old AMT Corvette kit offered two different carb. setups.

Great looking paint color and finish. I like the engine and under hood finishes.
