Anyone used this chrome marker?
espo replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have started using the Gundam chrome pen as suggested by another builder in this site. For myself I have fund it much easier and less messy to use than the Molotow pens. In my opinion the chrome finish is better in the cases where I have used it. Time will tell as far as durability and how it will hold up when handled. I'm pleased enough with the results that I'm going to buy some of their other colors to see how well it will work for other detailing. -

Great looking paint color and finish. The interior color contrast works well. Cleane looking trim and details. -
I like the well worn looking paint finish. Last time it was waxed was when the dealer sold it new. Good looking roof rack and boards.

I like your OEM Prototype body mods. The color reminds me of one Chevrolet called Firethorn Mt. and was popular at that time. Besides the hood louvers, the wheels look much like the Z-28 Camaro wheel used at that time. This makes a very good-looking Monte Carlo and all of the design elements flow well together.

Delightfully crusty looking. I would check the title for branding as a "Flood Car".

Wonder if the storage facility has any surveillance videos? Since nothing of value seems to have been stolen, besides your seance of security, this may have been the work of young vandals that get some sort of sic joy out of destroying other people's property. May the same or worse happen to them at some future date when they no longer live in their parents' basement.

Great looking paint combination, usually you would see blue body with white stripes. The trim and wheels and tires are all cleanly done.

Stunning looking color and a beautiful smooth paint finish. The body trim is all cleanly done. Whilr the wheel diameter looks a little large to my eye, the wheels fit the wheel wells. -
Great looking finishes. Like the showroom appearance.

Great looking paint work and I like the color matched bumpers. The stance and the wheels and tires work well together.

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The chrome and gold trim are all cleanly done.

Great looking build, and as others have mentioned, the paint and chrome trim are all cleanly done.

Beautiful looking convertible and the paint finish and the trim are all cleanly done. Too bad we only have the one picture to gaze upon.

Again, explaining which orifice to use for those who may not be sure.

Seems lately like it is important to state the obvious for some people.

Beautiful looking color and finish, a personal MoPar favorite. The accent stripping matching the interior looks great. Very realistic looking engine detailing.

Bare Metal Foil; how long should it keep good?
espo replied to W Humble's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The problems that many have had with the BMF goes to production issues some time ago. I think part of the continuing problems go to some of that inventory still in the supply stream and being sold. I picked up some BMF from a vendor at a locale show in June and he told me it was the new "good stuff" and that has proven to be true. The package calls it "New Improved Chrome" just like the subpar product that has been out there so from the packaging I don't see any way to tell this from the other. Something else to consider is the Gundam Marker EX. Following a suggestion by another builder here I have tried it and I'm pleased with the results. Try as I might I never got the hang of the Molotow Liquid Chrome pens. For me anyway I find the Gundam easier to control and don't have the sudden gush of chrome like I did with the Molotow pens. -
I like the look of the soft blue color and the finish looks great. Always thought the lower rear spoiler looked better on the second gen Camaros. The interior is very realistic looking with the way the dash is trimmed.

Salvino’s NASCAR Next Gen chassis color?
espo replied to dawgvet's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
A color I used to use on NASCAR builds was Tamiya AS-7 Natural Grey (USAAF). May seem a shade darker to some, but closer to the 1:1 cars I have had an opportunity to see in person. -
Thank you for sharing your photos. You are correct about the great looking builds, a few that I even remember being done here on the forum in the past. Seeing builds like these give one inspiration as well as ideas for future builds.

Great looking patina. Very realistic looking with a little rust thru on here and there. I like the way you did the front bumper. -
Great looking Buick, like the showroom look. Nice color and finish, clean body trim.
