Great looking paint and trim. Using many left over parts from different sources is how many of these cars were built anyway.
-
Amazing amount of detail on both these two and the other Drag cars you have posted. Remember attending the Winter Nationals in Pomona from 1962 thru 1965 and the Super Stock and FX wars were the most interesting to watch for myself.

This is why so many saved their nickels and dimes because they knew there would be a time when--. Beautiful finishes and clean realistic looking trim. The interior is very real looking as well. The engine and chassis detailing are amazing looking.

Great looking Camaro and the perfect color. Cleanly detailed engine and I like the cowl induction air cleaner.

Beautiful looking paint color and finishes. The trim is all cleanly done and the overall look is very realistic looking. I share your appreciation for the Starliner Fords of this era and remember a few from the old neighborhood including one in this color.

Nice to see that the fine trim survived the paint striping. The old paint job looks like the builder used a broom for a paint brush.

I want to get one of those Grenaches. I think it looks cool and my wife says I'm a Grenache anyway

Insane Asylum ambulance

I like the theme and the way this is detailed it does look the like what they may have had for an Ambulance or some sort of patient transportation. The side display and lettering all look great. -
Beautiful clean build style. Amazing how good an out of box build can look done in this fashion.

I have gone by a couple of HL stores in my area over the last three weeks. Each time there're fewer and fewer models on the shelves. Looking more like they are getting out of the model car business since there is no signs of any restocking going on. May bee that they are clearing out as much stock as they can before bringing in the newly priced kits.

Sadly, I am considering being done building.

So sorry to hear of your accident and injuries. Time and healing will tell the tale about future model building. As for therapy, it may turn out that building models may help you regain control of your hand and arm. Wish you speedy recovery and keep us posted on your progress. -
Looks like it would right at home at a T.R.O.G. event.

Before you spend a dime on a service call give the coils a good cleaning. The coils are where the fridge does the heat exchange. There are brushes made just for this job and aren't expensive. This is something that should be done on a regular basis but is often overlooked.

Very realistic looking model.

Still a very clean looking older build.

Back when I was in the business this was referred to as "Resale Red". Seems bright colored cars do sell better than drab colors.

What did you see on the road today?

If you like it, you should always ask. You never know what's going on for someone else and I have even planted a seed for the future on more than one occasion. -
I did a Revell '55 Bel Air hardtop when they offered the new tool model. I used Krylon Coral Isle and Model Master Anthracite Grey with Tamiya Clear. While not dead on they sure look close to me. The Krylon is an enamel paint and is what I would call sort of soft since it is easily sanded thru trying to get rid of some orange peel.

Anyone used this chrome marker?

I bought mine at a local hobby shop that carries a broad selection of hobby supplies. -
WIP - Weathered FD100

Many of my formative years were in the "burbs of Chicago. Arlington Heights, Wilmette, and Barrington. I remember the service bodies on the usually 1/2-ton short wheelbase trucks. They would move the old box to the new chassis withouty even repainting them. I think they used WWII Surplus Army OD paint. -
Nice looking flame paint job.
-
Beautiful looking color and paint finish. The chrome trim is all cleanly done. Like the lowered stance and the wide whites.

The paint finish looks like an old Bell Telephone truck. I guess you would have to be old enough to remember dial phones and when the phone company would come to your house to install them to remember the color. -
Great looking interior treatment, especially the consol.
