FYI on the foil. I picked up some of the new foil at the swap & show here at the first of June. No problems with the new foil.

They both look great. I like the clean looking trim and the seat inserts on the red car look good.

Looks like a fun build, and very cleanly done. I like the theme on the covered wagon. There was a time long ago when I and a few friends would spend Saturday night at Lions drag strip.

Sometimes the drive is worth it. Just basic service, but I have only one dealer I'm comfortable enough to have even change the oil on our Charger or Cherokee.

I like this color as well. The only problem is that it photographs on the dark side, and you don't really see the metallic finish and body lines as well as you would with a lighter color.

The black grill was sort of something I had to do since I was removing the SS396 emblem from the center of the grill. A lot of hand carving to get the center section to match the pattern of the rest of the grill. Thought about trying to spray chrome it, but left it as is.

I agree on the different body styles. I have a personal weakness for two door post cars especially. Wagons are cool as well.

Beautiful looking build. I like the front body work, looks like polished aluminum maybe. With your photography it looks very realistic.

I like that you kept it as found. Do you know how hard it is to get some of these finishes? The original builder did a pretty presentable job considering the painting methods. Just get a plastic display case for it and let it ferment.

Beautiful paint and the wheels look great on this. I like that you got to spend the time with your daughter and that she shares your interest in model building. Time is so fleeting when they're young.

Looks great. I like the finishes and the color. Funny, I built one of these a long time ago and it was also red. Not a Christen, just red.

The great looking body mods sort of move it more into the late sixties or even newer. Something to consider is the transition of the bottom edge of the rear window and how it flows onto the trunk lid. The redesigned rear wheel well opening looks more balanced than the stock opening.

This looks like an interesting subject. Look forward to seeing your build on this.

Watching this build come together is almost like viewing a 1:1 in appearance. All the planning and fabrication is very informative to see. I like the little touches like the tinted window for a grill insert.

Like the dull paint finish and the nice interior. Overpowered just enough with the Ford big block.

Great looking build. Clean looking trim and body details. The suggestion that the light blue color should have been white would be the more common appearance, but I remember seeing many of these in different colors long ago.

Great looking build. They gray under chassis and engine room was a common way of painting these and many other cars in computation. The color would make it easier to find leaks and would reflect light if they had to work on the car at night making it easier to see. The few Firebirds I remember in Trans Am racing were considered "Canadian Pontiacs" as those were sold with Chevrolet engines north of the boarder. The high performance OHC Pontiac sixes were really underappreciated compared to the 400 V-8. You should try and build a model of your Firebird of old.
