  1. Nice smooth paint and the decals look good. The color is bright. Cleanly detailed trim and engine.
  2. Could you drill the solder? Might consider a small diameter aluminum tubing instead.
  3. Beautiful looking finishes, hard to think this started life as a toy. All of the body and trim as well as the finishes are very realistic looking.
  4. Looks great. I don't recall ever seeing a Hubley model built to this standard. I like the theme and can't help but think of Don Knotts seeing this.
  5. Beautiful looking build. This is a car I have always thought I would buy if I hit the lottery. The paint and interior look great together and all the body and trim detailing looks great as well.
  6. The colors are really striking. The stance looks great. weel detailed interior and engine.

    Meyers Manx

Great looking buggy and I like the heavy metal flake finish.
  8. Nice looking spark plug wire loom.
  9. Starting to look like the real thing. Great job on this.
  10. Great looking start, sorry to hear about your warped body panels. I hope Moebus can get a handle on their quality issues.
  11. Great looking taillights and backup lights. Realistic looking finishes on the wheels and tires.
  12. Ya, you made it. Looks great.
  13. "Monkey see monkey do" as the old saying goes. This can be a color or some style or wheels that sit still while you're driving. I liked the Brandywine color when it first started showing up on show cars and still think it looks good. The problem is sometimes no matter how good something looks we all want it, and then we just do it to death to the point it is no longer attractive to look at.
  14. All this speculation made me dig out an old instruction sheet for the 2 in 1 '50 Ford pickup. The only thing i can see that is close is the part #9 that is called "Horn Driver" on the instruction sheet. Could this mean the part is the horn to be mounted on the driver's side if the model? That is the way I take it anyway and being mounted to the front of the radiator it would make sense. The part #69 the "Horn Cone" is mentioned, and I think that maybe a part of the horn. They used parts that had different shapes than what we may be accustomed to seeing on newer vintage vehicles.
  15. I thought about building one or both of these when they were re-released. I heard so much negative about them being more toy like than a model, so I passed. I would still be interested if something along these lines were done along the lines of current automobile and truck kits we see today.
  16. Great looking paint finish and color. I like the old-style shinny vinyl seats. The engine choice sets it in the '50's with the 348/409 engine.
  17. Can't go wrong with this color on any MoPar. I always liked the Hood Scoop they used on this model.
  18. Hi Zippi, I was just on the Mecum site for their upcoming auction. They have a very familiar looking red 3100 Chevy pickup that they will have on Thursday night. Could that be your pride and joy or just a look alike?
  19. Boats offer some interesting possibilities and just as wide of styles as automobiles or trucks. Should they have their own section here on the forum? Not sure, but not completely against either. I know many here build many other types of models, Military, Aircraft, action figures and Ships, along with others.
  20. Amazing scratch building and design on the Boat as well as the Trailer and the Truck.
  21. Enjoyed watching your rebuild on this and think it looks great. Not sure flames would enhance the look, but that would be your choice of course. I like your UPS theme and the color look perfect together with the gold trim.
  22. Great looking painted details.
  23. Always enjoy your beautiful photography along with the subjects.
  24. I have used discarded pill bottles cut in half for the inner wheel tubs in the past. Another option would be to construct the tubs out of flat plastic stock and glue together. Just about any of the kits that have the Pro-Street style back half chassis will work the best if you have one or if someone will offer you one.
  25. Great paint work. Starting to see what you mean by a subtle pattern under the candy red.
