Looks like a great deal for someone. The seller seems pretty up front about the car and even shows what looks like some rust bubbling under the vinyl roof in the C pillars. Nothing that off putting and would give you a chance to do away with the vinyl roof in the repair. -
Copycat automotive design.

I'm seeing a lot of interesting comparisons here, but I wanted to remark on the subject you brought up, I agree and think that a part of that may have to do with Holden being a part of GM. Beyond that something I noticed looking at the Holden is the headlights. The headlights seem to have the shape of a '57 Chevrolet and the front bumper guards and grill look like they could be based on a '55 Chevrolet passenger car along with the general shape of the parking lights if they weren't in the grill area. -
Amt 72 Jimmy...anyone tub it?

Seeing how many builders of Pro Street looking builds seem to use existing Pro Street kits for the chassis and engine and add whatever body they want to convert. I can see where this would save a lot of time that can be devoted to fine tuning the combination. -
This isn't exactly the same thing, but I have had a neighbor once much like you described. We both had almost 1/2 acre back yards and they would often have large gatherings on the weekend. They weren't obnoxiously loud but we couldn't enjoy a conversation on our rear deck. That said his favorite trick seemed to be waiting until we would relax on the deck before or after dinner and enjoy a glass of wine. This seemed to be his favorite time to mow the lawn. He would have been home all day and walking around in his yard doing nothing. But seeing us enjoying sitting out would send him into a gardening tizzy. We're talking about a 20 + horse power ridding mower and two cycle weed whackers plus a leaf blower that sounded like a 747 taking off.

In all fairness to the USPS they do seem to be doing a great job in our case anyway. I get mail order coffee and in the past it would come UPS and take a week or more to get here. Since we moved they still send the coffee UPS to a near by town and they mail it to me USPS. I now get my coffee a couple of days quicker, so who is to complain about that ?

The golf course behind us is redoing their grounds and has moved the cart path up against our back property line. We don't have much of a yard anyway and before there was a good bit of the rough between our lot and the path with the fairway and green beyond. This worked well as all that was in the background giving both of us a space. Now we're going to have the carts parking at the edge of our yard giving us very little privacy when we use our patio. I had talked to the course engineer a month ago when they first started pushing dirt around, but he wasn't concerned about our privacy in the slightest.

Both great looking builds. I agree these are very well-done kits with a high-fidelity level with both the body, engine and the interior. I had the good fortune to be at the Pamona Winter Nationals when these cars debuted, and they were dominate.

Great looking. I like the dirtied-up look. -
Thankyou all for your kind words.

Thankyou. I wasn't sure about the color but found a couple of convertibles looking on Google done this way, so I went with it. This last year was a time of downsizing and having to build a new modeling room in the basement. I have tried to keep up with what everyone else has been building. Now I hope to get back to contributing g as well.

Thanks for the memories. Like you I built on of these once upon a time, it never looked this good. Another sharp rebuild and the wide white look at home on this. The trim and interikor are all cleanly done.
-
Beautiful looking paint. I like how you combined a modern color with the traditional looking Pontiac. The interior and engine detailing looks factory.
-
Beautiful looking paint and I like the clean look without the extra side stripes that seem to detract from the body lines on this car. The white interior brightens the overall look as well. Nice wheels, they always look right on this era of MoPars.

Any time you can give your Grand Mother a smile like that you know any effort is worth it. Interesting that your Grand Father outran the law with a 265 and probably a Powergluide. My Father and Stepmother also had a '56 210 4-door with the Blue Flame 6 and 3 on the tree. Great looking paint and clean chrome trim on your build.

I don't recall seeing this build before. I would have remembered if I had. Great body and paint work. I like the unique design of the rear spoiler and the side skirts.
-
Really clean looking build. I like the engine detailing and the wheels. This could cruise the drive ins or put some sponsors signage on it for Saturday Nite at the Drags.

Great looking design. My memory of these trucks also had the canvas roof over the driver's area. Still remember hearing the bells ringing and the tune on the trucks load speaker. I would grab my piggy bank and head out the door. We lived on a long block with at least two or three kids in each house so the driver would go real slow ion our neighborhood.

Great looking styling for the interior.
-
Looks like you had a lot of body work done. Was this rust or a wreck?

POP UPS!!! I'm I the only one getting these Google Pop Ups at the bottom of my screen ? I can X them and then something else pops up. They are covering the bottom quarter of the screen.
-
Another one of your great looking rebuilds. I never realized there were so many 4 door kits out there. The paint and color look great as does the interior.
-
Great looking Kustom body work, but the paint job is what really sets this build apart. That would be something to share a picture with Gene Winfield. I like the way you detailed the engine bay.
