  1. That would be a thought, but then I would be considered being a pest. The upside of the new landscaping on the course is that they laid new sod over a large are including the three feet between the new paved cart path and our back yard. They just opened the new path yesterday and I noticed for the first time that they had made a provision for the carts to stop in an area a couple of doors up the hill from us. This way they are only driving by and not stopping directly behind us anymore. I'm liking the nice sod compared to the weeds they had before covering a couple of yards between our property and the cart path.
  2. I like your build style, sort of what the instructions imply as an option, but a better design.

    1959 Impala

Beautiful looking Impala. Great looking paint and clean chrome details. The chrome rims give it a nice period look. Funny thing, when I built this kit a few years ago I did it just like this even to the color. I did put the white paint on the top of the fins as well. This is how I remember them as well.
  4. I agree that the urethane bumpers did little for the appearance of the Avanti. Part of this may have had to do with production costs and pending bumper regulations. The four-door body style may have been to broaden the market appeal.
  5. Beautiful looking combination. Great looking detailing under the hood on the hauler and body as well.
  6. Beautiful looking finishes and the chassis detailing looks great. Can't help but compare the overall look to that of a spaceship. This is the type of build that you have to study for a while to take-in all of the details.
  7. Great job adding the roof as it looks as if had always been there. The color is striking, and the finish looks great. I like that you dressed up the 6-cylinder engine. The Ansen style wheels make this look like a nice daily driver.
  8. Another one of your beautiful restorations. The interior is really outstanding with the pattern seat inserts and the steering wheel. Great smooth paint and color looks great. I like the showroom appearance.
  9. Beautiful looking Lead Sled. I agree this is a great kit along with the related Merc Woody. Your paint finish looks great and so cleanly detailed. The background in the photos look just like a show in the park. We can only hope that Revell realizes that a reissue of this kit could bring in some revenue.
  10. I wasn't 100% on the engine option number but always thought it was the R-3. Now rare is the 305 cu in Studebaker engine with the duel super chargers.
  11. The engine options are interesting as well. A single four barrel for the standard engine and a Super Charger as the R-2 engine option. Also, there is a dual Super Charger setup for the rare R-3 engine option.
  12. I would wager that they would have sold more of these as a Pontiac product than as a GMC. Based on the timeline you mention I would think GM had already started the planning of offering this as a GMC Sprint. This may have also been based on the minimal changes that had to be made to the El Camino to make it a GMC. I think the Pontiac would have been a more interesting product and would have sold better in the end.
  13. The color treatment does give this a very aggressive appearance.

    Tweedy Pie 2

The color really works well with the chrome trim and interior. Looking at the picture head on the front suspension looks very realistic. The rear tires are impressive, did they come in the kit?
  15. I also agree with the color and the finish looks great. I like the wheel flairs.
  16. Beautiful looking build. Great paint finish and color. With the big wheels and tires this reminds me of a Javelin built by the Ring Brothers for SEMA a few years ago.
  17. They are both great looking builds. I like how cleanly all the chrome details are done along with the OEM colors.
  18. I agree with Steve, your paint looks great. A shame so little of the engine will be visible when finished. Does the side door move or is it set in thew open position?
  19. My opinion of Oreos is that their Mega Stuf is about what their standard cookie used to be. They seem to be just dry almost tasteless cookies. Stopped buying them years ago because of the changes in quality. I think if you're going to eat a treat that is something you probably shouldn't be anyway the least they could do is make them taste good.

    AMT 1958 Edsel

    Great looking color combination.
  21. Beautiful looking finishes throughout. The doors look perfectly aligned.
  22. Another beautiful looking showroom build. The decal stripes on the rockers look cleaner.
  23. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Great detailing on the engine and the interior.
  24. Great looking Corvair. I like the way you do these nice clean restorations on these old kits.
  25. Sounds like you have this little beauty dialed in.
