  1. Great looking pair of builds.
  2. Beautifully done. The chassis looks like it was made for this body. Great looking paint and the engine detailing looks good. I would love to find one of these as well, and it wouldn't be built stock.
  3. Your build looks just like your real car. Nothing like building a model of a car or truck you have owned. Sorry about hearing that it got stolen and even then was wrecked. That is like adding insult to injury. Any one else who has had a car stolen can understand the feeling.
  4. Looks great and I think the painted chassis looks just fine. I have to agree with you about these early kits. I'm also old enough to remember these and I thought they were great at that time. We all get spoiled by what we have had for kits for several years now. I don't think some appreciate what they have to work with now compared to the earlier kits. One thing about these kits was the bodies seemed very correct with little or no problems with their proportions.
  5. Looks great and I would paint the wipers black to match the rest of the trim. The roof proportions look correct for the body.

    Yellow streak.

Great looking paint work and the OEM Stripes look good.
  7. Great looking paint and nicely detailed engine.
  8. Great looking color and finish. I like those wheels as well.
  9. Nice job blending the color to match.
  10. Well Gareth you get an A grade for creativity on this one.
  11. Got to visit the Tillamook cheese factory many years ago and I have to agree. While the quality may not be exactly the same we are now able to buy their prepackaged cheeses locally at the Super Target stores.
  12. Call me old fashion, and you would be correct. In this case in my mind this is a very big mistake for this particular car. I realize that the electric car is going to be the future for now. My feeling is that Project X should be left as is for any future experimentation with an internal combustion engine only. The people involved with this build have the resources to start with a different car or truck and even a different '57 Chevrolet if that's what they want. I think the basic idea is sound and I think I understand what they are trying to put forward, but not with this car.
  13. The chassis looks great as well. I really liked how you captured the surface rust of the car in the picture. One of the reasons I took a few pictures was that I felt some one would want to maybe use it for a little inspiration.
  14. Great looking paint and I like the engine detailing. Nice chassis.
  15. Great looking color and smooth finish. The stance and the wheels really catch your eye.
  16. Even with all the kits problems you talked about it looks great with the clean assembly and paint work you put into this.
  17. Great pictures. Do you know anything about the owner of the Ford F-350 Crew Cab with the "ESPOFOOT 3" on the front ?
  18. Is there anyway to reinforce the axel with maybe something like the old metal axels from the early AMT kits ? Another thought would be to create a new axle from metal tubing and insert the spindle ends into the tubing.
  19. The Q-Tip thing makes me laugh, now any way. Last year I had to go in for Thyroid surgery and of course I had to have the test before they would let me in the Hospital. The Nurse had me stand with my head against the wall, and then she tried to nail my head to the wall with the Q-Tip that looked more like a cotton tipped sward.
  20. By this point in time the then young lady in the short shorts may be doing those Depends commercials that you see on TV. Man I miss those times.
  21. Great looking paint work.

    427SC Cobra

I agree with the others on your paint finish and the color it's self. A lot of attention to detail under the hood. I like the aluminum interior with just the seats done.
  23. Looks great. I like the SS style trim you added as it looks like an OEM style.

Great looking paint work and I like the OEM look with the interior. Your engine mods make a great day two look for the engine. Baby Moons, I can't tell you how many sets I bought from PEP Boys back then. That was sort of the standard even with chrome rims if you were on a budget.
  25. I enjoyed watching your build on this. The paint color really looks good and a very nice smooth finish. Nice interior match as well.
