Great job on the body corrections. The best part is this means we are one step closer to being able to buy this kit.

Great looking Blazer. I like how you combined thew Die Cast Body with all the other plastic kit parts. Looks cool with the top on and the Big Wheels and Tires. -

I like the distressed look. Pretty common for the Cab to out live the Bed on these old rigs. Different Hood and Door, seen a few that looked like that. Still has the optional hood trim. -
Great looking Race Car. Lots of good detailing on the engine and chassis.
-
Great looking paint finish and this is a perfect color for this. Very cleanly detailed trim.

Beautiful looking Wagon. I wish someone would offer that top again. You blended everything to gather with an OEM type finish. Chevrolet didn't offer a hardtop wagon, but they should have looking at this. The Continental kit wouldn't have worked on a 1:1 since it wouldn't allow the Tail Gate to drop down all the way, but it does look cool. Nice hood hinges and the engine again looks like a factory unit.

Don't rule out cheep brake fluid for paint removal if all else fails. That stuff would do a number on paint on a real car. Did the builder just spread glue around on the chassis ? At least the Bumpers and Grill look good and the Tail Lights should be removable. You can make new glass when needed.

What are your plans for the Blue car ? You mentioned the tail lights and chroming the trim on them. You might try some good foil first. The Matlow Pen can be hard to control in tight areas like this.

Great find. The top looks like it was either installed crocked or is coming lose. Do you plan a complete rebuild or a shelf sitter to remind you of what it once was like ?
-
Great looking body and paint work. I like the side exhaust idea and maybe some black pipes showing. We used to have a '10 Dodge Charger RT with AWD and the color was almost the same as your builds.

And what is used to power the Electric in railroad engines ?? -
Not going to believe this. Last night the rain storm came thru and we had wind gusts up to 50 mph per the weather guy on TV. About 10 pm the center string of Christmas lights started working. I'm glad I put off dragging the latter around to fix them yesterday.

Thank you for sharing, so many great looking models.

Car manufactures and GM in particular can't seem to call a color Red White or Blue or anything else unless they can think up a name that will sound exotica enough that you'll never guess what color it really is.

Each and every one of these are great looking builds in so many ways. I like that you put so much information on each of these as well. Often it is hard to fully appreciate all that the builder has done without this information. The '57 Ford looks like a modern take on the semi custom / low ridder theme. The windshield looks like it may even be the back window from that kit. The information you give about the Cobra build is good to know for anyone looking to build that kit in the future. With the Drag car I'm glad you mentioned that you used a 409 engine because with the Turbos and all the other details on the engine it is hard to tell what basic engine is there. They all have great looking paint finishes and again it's nice to know how that was done.

Beautiful rendition of the movie car. Black paint on any car be it 1/25th or 1:1 is a pain but worth it when it is done right. I like you and so many others have always thought that the car chase in this movie set a pretty high mark for movies that came after. I hope you have a few spare Hub Caps just incase.

Great looking color for this and a nice smooth finish. The light colored interior showes well against the darker body color. Very nice engine and chassis detailing.- 28 replies

Great looking add on Sun Roof. I like the Low Ridder flair to this. I remember seeing many of these treated to this appearance when new or only a few years old.

This is moving right along. I like your idea of adding the wood trim to the sides and the Bronze color you picked should look good. While this may not be important but you mentioned the color Grecian Bronze as your target color and I think you may be mistaken on the name of the color. The reason I mention this is I owned a new Chevrolet C-10 short step side pickup that was Grecian Bronze and the name is a little misleading. The actual Grecian Bronze color is more of a dark Orange. Your color pick is closer to the #81 Gold color shown on the chart. This color should look good against the wood grain.

Great looking interior, and thank you for the explaining all of the steps you went through.

Yesterday I put up some Christmas lights on the house. I figured this would be the last chance to get it done without having to wear gloves. Both timers were shot so I had to go and buy two new ones. Last night they came on just like clock work only to find half of one of the strings of lights will not come on. Rain tonight and a big chance of snow on Friday. They are on the back of the house so it may be a while before I bother with them.

Great looking weathering. Looks just like so many work trucks that were just used and allowed to rust away. Very realistic . -
