  1. I was thinking the same thing when I was taking these pictures and why I got a couple of pictures at different angles. There are several cars that offer some ideas to use in our builds.
  2. I don't recall a Cadillac photo, but did you notice the Lincoln Continental in a soft gold color with the blue convertible top ? I don't remember ever seeing one of those done in this style. I also found a late '30's Buick sedan in a pearl beige and a restored Packard in maroon. The older big sedans look good with some updates.
  3. That's a great looking little '54. I liked how Chevy did their two tone paint jobs on the Bel Airs.
  4. I was wondering since the photo shows very little of the engine but you can see something sticking up like a carb or something. I had a Baja Buggy years ago with a warmed over 1800 cc that used the Holly "Bug Spray" carb along with a lot of other goodies. I have a special place for tricked out VDubs.
  5. I have enjoyed watching your posts about your shows and have admired your truck since I first saw it.
  6. That color is real eye catching.
  7. The The '56 was parked under the trees and I think the shade didn't let the color show as well as it should. The finish on the car was outstanding and the workmanship under the hood and the interior was beyond what you would normally expect. A majority of the cars at this show are the type you would see at a judged indoor show. I only saw two trailers in the parking area so these were all driven from around the area.
  8. That is actually Hugger Orange, but I also love '56's and I agree.
  9. I like the wide verity of cars. The red VW that hates stick figures, is it still a VW engine ?
  10. I also liked that little '61 Impala. The trim on the grill and trunk was the crossed flages so I was looking for a 348 or 409 maybe. The car had a very healthy sounding small block. The paint is a high metallic two tone gray. The picture really doesn't do this car justice. The paint looks like it is a mile deep and was super smooth. The owner is either a painter or he spent some serious money, but it was well spent.
  11. That was camera error. I was using my phone and these new 5G phones will sometimes due strange things. This was a warm day and I think the phone started to lose it's mind as there were several photos that all I got were the lower half of a car or the upper half. These pictures are only about 2/3 of the cars there because of the phone going crazy.
  12. I loved the Onslow actor. That and "Waiting for God" were some of the funniest. The only better one was Jeff in the " Coupling " series. Show the bird some love and care and he'll come around.
  13. Beautiful looking finish and nicely detailed engine.
  14. I like the looks of the interior.
  15. I have used Plastruct half round strips. They are sold in several widths so you would want to see which ones would give you the look you want. Plasrtruct also offers sheets with different finishes and I have used their Sheets of siding like they offer for sheds for model rail road builders. Most well stocked hobby shops should carry a what you're looking for.
  16. I'm not a buyer myself, but I can see how someone interested in the subject would want to get one. I also think this would be a good way to get someone into building that has been intimidated in the past from trying.
  17. The work crews working on the new homes next to us just through their empty water and pop bottles into the builds yard. The wind and the heavy rain we had over the last couple of days has all this loose trash running down the gutters and into the street drains and onto our yards as well. I bagged the trash and went up to the job site and yelled at the roofers to use the trash bag full of litter that I left. I hope they got the message, I don't think they would like anyone tossing trash in their neighborhood.
  18. Clean looking build with a great paint color and finish. Makes you wonder why they didn't offer such a model.
  19. Beautiful looking convertibles nice clean showroom look.
  20. Great looking build. I like the engine details and the wheels. I would drive that everyday if it were a 1:1.
  21. Based on the rear window design I'm thinking a '66 thru '67 Olds Cutless.
  22. Thankyou for the information. Another must have kit.
  23. Beautiful looking build. I guess building a great looking model is like riding a bicycle, you never forget how to do it. Using some of the military colors from Tamiya you got a very realistic looking OEM color combination.
