  1. Great pictures. Don't know how I missed them back in April. I like the way you composed many of the pictures centering on some of the main styling features of the subject. Many beautiful looking cars and trucks at the show.
  2. I got a '51 Chrysler from a family friend many eons ago. He had bought it new and I was needing a transportation car while going to city College and I had a hard time making lunch money. He sold it to me for a $1.00. Anyway it had the "powerful flathead 6" with the Fluid Drive. You could use the clutch and reave the engine in low and pop the clutch. Nothing could touch you across the cross walk stripes. After that you had better have packed a lunch since you were going for a slow ride.
  3. Turned out great. I have never bought this kit for all the reasons you listed. I liked following your build on this and the way it turned out is amazing considering what you had to work with. Very clean looking finishes.
  4. They both look good, but at the price they have to charge you had better be sure that you really want the earlier body style. Looking at the two I would go for the Blaze especially if I could get it as a two door, but I still have not won the Lottery so it really doesn't matter.
  5. Great looking OEM style build. The paint looks like something that Dodge would have offered and the finish looks real smooth. Nice clean chrome trim.
  6. Great looking paint work and all the trim is cleanly done. I like the Dirt Track rear tires.
  7. Nice and clean looking. I like the Hood sides being off also.
  8. Great clean looking build. The blue color doesn't look bad and you're right it is smooth, it's very close to one of the OEM colors, in fact a coworker years ago had a '53 that was stock and was that color.
  9. Very nice save. Looks great and I like the texture of the floor carpeting.
  10. Great looking Merc. I like your putting the '60 Ford chassis under this. Any FoMoCo product that is the least bit Drag oriented has to have the Tear Drop Hood.
  11. I agree, would be great if he could get that win.
  12. Now that I look back at the pictures I can see my error. I don't see how you could ever get that body straight again.
  13. That or build a model of a wreaked Camaro.

    29 Ford rod

Beautiful looking. The paint detailing really makes this standout. I like the interior decals for the seats.
  15. I like the molded body work and the paint and color.
  16. Looks new again.
  17. Great looking paint work and trim. I have noticed lately that the trend for Lowrider / Cruisers is the return of the Continental Spare Tire.
  18. Great looking show. I like the different styles and the few that had trim we don't see south of your boarder. A lot of good build ideas as well.
  19. This would make a great little extended cab or add a little sheet plastic and make a crew cab ?
  20. Love the Gold '40 Ford. I wonder about the '62 Pontiac with the screen air inlets in the high beam slots. This was done when they would run plumbing from the inlet to the carbs. for drag racing. Pictures of the engine show small air cleaners in the duel carbs. This may just be for show or maybe at one time this car could have been campaigned ? Always like seeing Camaros and '69's in particular.
  21. While it is different it is not an improvement to my eye. The more upright windshield is an attempt to make a misshaped Camaro look like a Nova.
  22. Great find on these cards. Interesting to see what things looked like long ago.
  23. Watched last night, Friday, on Motor Trend TV here. I'm going to try and see if it's on next Friday.
