Beautiful looking pair of Fords. They both are cleanly detailed and I like how you built one as a Hardtop and the other as a Crown Victoria with the glass roof option. This was some of Fords best styling.

Beautiful looking Chevy. Great attention to detail on the engine and interior. This is a great kit to work with.

The body has an upper and lower body parts and is split along a body trim line that should make it a little easier to hid. The box states that it's 1/25th scale but does seem a little on the small side. My interest in this mainly comes from seeing one as a youth. There was someone that had an office in town that I would sometimes walk past after school. The car was parked in a reserved parking spot and the stainless steel roof was something you couldn't miss.

Great clean looking build.

Beautiful looking finishes. I like how you used different shades and colors on the chassis to make it look more realistic.

The very first Valiants had a floor mounted shifter for the standard 3 - speed manual transmission. I think this is true for the '61 year model as well abut the '60 year models had the floor shifter. A friend had a little red 4 door so equipped with the slant six it was a lot of fun.

Besides the great body work and top chop I like the understated color. Nice to see the Y-Block get a little attention as well.

Beautiful looking GTO. Very nice detailing and the color really stands out. In '66 Chevrolet offered a color called Aztec Bronze that looked very much like this. I don't recall ever seeing a GTO that color but that doesn't mean that you couldn't and from your pictures they should have.

Your hard work on this conversion turned out great.

Can Molotow chrome be painted over

I would also go with the BMF. Another advantage would be if somehow the "light" didn't turnout to your liking, just peal the BMF out and retry again. -
Don't know if this would work but think about taking a picture with your phone. This could be down loaded on your computer and later printed out on decal type paper. I have done this with 1:1 license plates when building models of personal cars and trucks.

Really your dogs name was Murray ?? That explains everything, that was our dog's name. A little background on the name in our case. Murray is my middle name and I was named after two of my fathers buddies from the Army during WW II. I got to meet both men when I was a child and Murray Tetter was from So. Carolina and while he was the perfect southern gentleman he was also a partier of the first order. Thus the name for our dog because he was always up for play and he was always paid a lot of attention to the ladies. Not the usual name for a dog and everyone thought his name was Murphy at first.

Pink Monogram 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

Beyond the beautiful paint and trim I like the fine details thru out. I spent some time studying the painting details on and around the engine and the chassis. The longer I look the more fine details I notice. The same can be said for the interior. -
They are all beautifully done and you are lucky they survived the move so well. Like you we are unpacking from a move that also was to downsize. I have my fingers crossed for the condition of some of mine.

Perfect name for this build. Very creative looking and great paint work.

Some great YouTube moments. The clip of the dog reminds me of our Lab many years ago. We had gone on vacation for a week and boarded our dog and it was a very nice kennel by the way. My wife went and picked him up and when he got in the car he sat as far away from her as he could get and just looked out the window. He ignored us for a couple of days as punishment for not taking him along.

Great looking interior.

I picked up a Cadillac kit this weekend at a local model show and swap meet. As soon as I can get my model area back up and running this just moved to the front of the line to build.

Great looking save. I like the stance.

Very funny how this worked out. I remember the way you talked about the theme of your build and wanting to keep it under the radar from dear old dad. I knew this would be something you could do based on your body work skills. This engine will make this just that more interesting than throwing a SBC in it.

Adding gloss to engine block
espo replied to Hws5283's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I just relooked at the engine you're working with. An exception to all of my ramblings about painting engines and then I realized your doing a MoPar engine. One thing that MoPar didn't do was skimp on paint on their engines. Many manufactures would hope to have their bodies as well painted as a MoPar engine. I think that a semi gloss at a minimum for this to look OEM. Sorry if anything I said mislead you as I was thinking GM or even Ford before. -
Adding gloss to engine block
espo replied to Hws5283's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The gloss finish would depend on what type of build you are working on. Most internet pictures will be of engines that have been rebuilt or detailed for show. Stock showroom new would not be all that shinny. Remember the block usually is a cast iron material with a rough surface and often only a dusting of color so even a gloss coat of paint would be more of a semi gloss finish at best and the "tin" or valve covers and oil pan being a smooth surface would be a little shinier. A Hot Rod or Custom Car would have a well detailed finish and would be a glosser finish. Use the old spoon method to test different finishes. Try a semi gloss and another with a gloss to see which one you like. Another way to get a little more realistic "stock" finish on the block and any cast iron parts would be to hold the part at arms length and give it a short burst of paint and wait to see how that looks. The paint will tend to dry somewhat in the air before it reaches the block and will give it a somewhat rough finish. This could also be done with gloss or semi gloss clear as well.
