  1. Beautiful looking finishes through out. The detailed engine looks great. The contrasting colors work best. I have seen a couple of Corvettes in this color. 1:1 scale, that had Greer or Black interiors and it just looked dead where the OEM's that were done in this way look great.
  2. The interior looks great. The details like the CB that add to the overall appearance.
  3. So the Edsel Grills are the hideaway headlights ?? That looks very good. With this and the hood changes the front end looks almost like a '60 year model. Is the front Bumper slotted in the middle ??
  4. I usually Google any subject that I build just to get ideas for the details and colors used in OEM as well as modified cars. Nice clean engine so far.
  5. I enjoy these pictures of a by gone era and sometimes wonder what all is going on in the back ground. A case in point: The Royal Farms Dairy truck posed in front of the Globe Burlesk theater. The picture of the moving vans. Was this an ad for a new housing development ? I notice the Boat being towed by a Convertible gives the vision of wealth for someone. The Lucky Lager truck is in front of what looks like the construction of the LA Subway construction.
  6. I would think that any paint with minute particles in it would require a slightly larger orifice in the tip of the spray gun. I have seen some very nicely done paint jobs by others here that should be able to give you a much better idea of how to proceed with your paint work.

    '63 Nova Wagon

I remember those well, but I was just thinking about the full size body styles. I tried to buy a one owner '65 Chevelle 300 two door wagon around '83 bur even at that time the guy wanted more than it had cost new and it needed a lot of work. Further back in time I took a '58 Chevrolet Yeoman wagon in part trade on a '57 Ford I was selling around '68 I didn't fully appreciate what the car was at the time and foolishly sold it. Hindsight is always 20/20 vision I have been told.
  8. Great looking low ridder. The little continental kit that GM offered isn't often seen on the tri fives you see built here. As so many others mentioned, I also a big fan of the '56 year model. My family had a '56 210 more door way back when.
  9. They both look great and I like the supercharger setup with the offset carburetor. The paint looks good and well detailed on both builds.
  10. A thought on the rear tire clearance issue. Building the SS version of this kit a while back and used larger rear tires that wouldn't clear the inner fenders. I tubed the rear wheel housings in the bed and floor. I narrowed the rear differential enough to move the tire just inside the body.
  11. Beautiful looking paint work and I like the interior mods. These are great kits, I did the Aero Sedan last year in more of a Low Rider fashion. The roll pans really lighten the look of the body.

    '63 Nova Wagon

Sounds like a great idea. Looking at the picture you have of the '60 Chevrolet wagon I realized just how rare it is. This is a base two door wagon and very few were built and I think that the 1960 models were the last time Chevrolet offered that body style wagon.
  13. I like this body style and the way you finished this looks great.
  14. Beautiful looking paint job, on both of them. My wife watches a weekly TV series about some under cover Police. On of the main characters drives a black Challenger just like this build.
  15. Looks great. Looks like you did this one just like a real life barn find.

    '63 Nova Wagon

I like the more current understated street rod look. Your body modifications along with the clean paint work look great also. Those wheel and tires look good on anything in my opinion.
  17. I wish that AMT had kept this model in their line up years ago instead of the '65 El Camino. I just liked the '64's better is all and the little boat in the kit is much better than the camper shell in the '65 kit.
  18. Great looking subject and doing a car from your own family is always fun.
  19. This looks amazing .
  20. Picture taken around the fourth of July maybe ??
  21. Thanks guys. The driver was in a company truck and the truck in front of her that she was waiting on to get on the freeway was their companies district manager. I talked to him on the phone this morning and he said to get an estimate and send it to him directly and he indicated they may just write a check directly instead of using their insurance company. He was very apologetic . Got an appointment with the dealers body shop tomorrow to see what it will cost.
  22. My wife just called, she got rear ended in our '19 Charger. The streets are real icy and the guy was driving a 1 ton diesel pickup that had been sitting for a while. The driver said the brakes weren't working real well because of sitting and the single digit temperatures. The same thing happened to her two years ago with our previous Charger. The only time she usually drives this car is in bad weather because of the All Wheel Drive that this car has. The good news besides her being fine is that if she was driving her little Avenger this might be a different store. Oh and we just changed insurance companies starting the 27th.
  23. Great looking little pickup. The paint finish looks more like a real truck and it is smooth.
  24. Looks like a pretty Gasser from here. Great paint finish. How does the engine and interior look ?
  25. Beautiful looking paint I like how the surroundings reflect on the paint finish.
