Great looking Split Window. Nice paint color and finish.
-
I like the color, so Ford looking.
-
I like the lower body paint treatment. The V-8 engine in this kit looks like a loose interpretation of the original engine but with a little detailing can be made to look convincing. Wheels are a very personal styling statement and can change the appearance in many ways. Ideas, Chrysler offered some great looking styled steel wheel treatments that might be found in a Dodge Charger kit Crager chrome spoke wheels were also very popular at that time on these. With the lower body color matching the interior this should be a great looking build which ever way you go on the wheels.

Reversed engineered, with improvements

I agree with those that desire seeing some '50's thru '60's cars and pickups. While the Chevrolets and Fords as well as many MoPars are out there, what about some Mercury, Big Dodges and even a DeSoto? I would like to see some big Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, Buicks and even a Cadillac or two might work. GM offered four door hardtop wagons in the mid to late fifties, anyone else interested in something along those lines ? -
Beautiful looking finishes everywhere you look on this one.

Great looking Falcon and the wheels look good on this.
-
Beautiful looking convertible. I would not have thought of these colors together but they look perfect on this as does the paint finish.

Round 2 purchased by an investment firm

I hope this will give round 2 the financial backing it needs to maybe offer some new kits of their own tooling design. My big concern would be his not having the controlling interest in the business. -

I agree with Mark I'd just clean it up and keep as is. -

I have a couple of these in yellow plastic so I'll be watching this for ideas. -
Box Art Puzzles from Round2

Great looking puzzles and anyone who has done puzzles is now looking at the background area. That will be the challenge on these but that's why you do puzzles in the first place. -
Spray booth recommendations??

They look the same , just a different manufacture and I don't think that would matter. As randman mentioned Micro Mark has the manufactures paper filters, but these might be a good alternative and as I mentioned they have worked fine for me. -
Some guy at UPS isn't done reading them yet.

Beautiful looking paint finish and the color shows the body lines well. Very clean looking chrome trim and the interior color looks good with the exterior.

I love the color. Great looking build and I bet you wish you still had this one. The finish looks great and the Cragers compliment the car well. Ordering the car without the 442 option may have saved you a lot on insurance also. There is always something special about building a model of 1:1 cars that you owned from long ago.
-
On the 1:1 car with Flame Throwers you can adjust the flame with the choke if you still have one. I think it's a great touch here.

You could go either way on clear coating the bare metal foil, for myself I just haven't found the need. One thing to consider if you do clearcoat the foil has to do with polishing and paint imperfections in the clearcoat. Should you have to sand and polish to the point that you go thru the clearcoat enough to get to the bare metal foil and it gets damaged.

What I'm using right now is a foam type material that is designed for window mounted air conditioners. The material is actually a composite of two different density layers of foam. The sheet of foam is 15" x 24" and about 1" thick and I can cut it to size with a box cutter. I would think that any hardware store in your area would have this or something just like it. I have not been able to find a standard furnace filter size that will work but this works fine for me and it isn't expensive. I had to repaint a model I'm working on this morning and there is a good air flow coming out of the exhaust tube and no paint residue -
This is a wild setup to say the least. To bad about you first mower getting burned down. I don't have a great depth of knowledge of turbo charging an engine only a very basic understanding and for the most part this would pertain to OEM automotive applications so I may ask some questions that may seem odd to you. Looking at your exhaust system it would seem that you have some plumbing background but I can see also that this would make sense as this would support the Turbo. The connection of the Turbo outlet to the Carb. looks as though there is a slight kink in the 90 degree bend in the hose. Do you think this is even an issue ? I don't know about the angle that the Turbo needs to be set at. Is it even something where you could rotate the Turbo a little to make a more direct connection between the Turbo and the Carb. ? I think what you're doing is interesting. The next step maybe a Motorcycle engine ?

I got my latest coffee bean shipment on time at my address, unlike my last order that was delivered to a neighbor down the street a couple of days late.
-
Question: Will you have enough exhaust pressure from the lawn mower engine to spin the Turbo ?
-
Revell also offered the Cougar version at that time and shared most of the chassis and power train with the Thunder Bird.
-
A suggestion for your chassis problem. Consider the better detailed Camaro chassis from a Revell kit. The 1:1 cars shared the same chassis platform and Revell has offered several Camaro kits and can be found on "Sale" often. This should give you a much better starting point for the Nova build. As for your '76 Nova SS, Chevrolet also offered the Rally Nova option for a few years at that time and could be had with the 350 and 4-speed.
