  1. Very realistic looking. I also notice the wood pallet that looks perfectly in place with the Forklift.
  2. Great looking build. Nice paint finish and colors.
  3. This was really well done and the interior is creative also. I remember building one of these many years ago and I liked the trailer and the engine parts that were included in the kit also.
  4. Beautiful looking finish and all of the sponsors decals must have been fun to do.
  5. Great looking Duster. I like how you got the design on the hood.
  6. Great looking little wagon. I like the stock appearance and the color looks like something you would have seen at that time frame.
  7. I like your take on the '56 Crown Victoria Wagon. Ford did offer what they called a Parklane two door wagon with a B pillar that would have worked perfectly with the Crown Roof treatment. Looking at this makes one wonder why they didn't do what you are creating here.
  8. There was a company in the '70's that would take Cadillac and shorten the body and chassis making a two seater with stock front and rear sheet metal.
  9. Your Holms Wrecker looks great. For a sling maybe an old wide rubber band. You would need to color it a proper color but it would be close to the proper thickness and would be flexible enough.
  10. Any opinions you would care to share and or pictures of the parts tree ?
  11. I would like to see some mid '50's GM cars like the Buick, Olds. and Pontiacs in the 3 in 1 format. I know I'm dreaming but I don't think I'm alone in this desire.
  12. Funny. I got one of these Robo Calls within the last hour. I'm afraid I fit the profile that Ace has mentioned. I'm on the "Do not call list" but they still call and I still report them on the web site, and they just keep calling about every six months or so.
  13. Besides being a very well built model the finish on all of the surfaces look just like something that sat in a barn.
  14. Beautiful looking Ford. Watching your build I like how you used a contrasting interior color combination. The paint finish and color look great also.
  15. I like your idea of drilling out the bottom of the Air Cleaner. Besides the added Hood clearance the extra realistic factor for display is something I never considered before. I'm going to have to remember that for the future.
  16. Your foil job looks great to me. The corners of the windshield and vent windows always seem the hardest for myself but yours look just fine.
  17. I remember this being discussed here before. Like so many others I have also had this problem. In my case this was primarily with Testors products but I have had the same issue with Model Master paints also. The goo you mentioned would be around the bottom of the can and would harden with time. This may have to do with how long you have stored the paint. The problem cans I have are usually ones that I have had for a couple of years or more. I have been fortunate to have been able to still use the cans that I have. Stored at normal home temperature you wouldn't expect this to happen but it does seem to be a problem with some brands.
  18. I was going to replay with a description of how I have done the wood treatment in the past starting with a much lighter colored base coat. After seeing the photo that Exotic Builder sent I would suggest going that route since it's very realistic looking, to me anyway, and would be a lot easier to do.
  19. Amazing paint finish and the interior looks great also.
  20. Home Depot has some filters that can be cut to size. I'm sure others carry similar products also. I think they are intended for heater air returns but work well and are inexpensive.
  21. Great looking Firebird, I had a Camaro of the same vintage. There are pickup kits with decals for the wood bed floors that would be one possibility . I would see if your local hobby shop caries Gopher Decals that offers decal sets for wood trim. For myself I like to do this sort of detail by hand, sort of like finger painting when we were young.
  22. One thing for those, like myself, who will be putting a V-8 engine in this kit. Because of the front suspension design used in this 1:1 car the V-8 engine required an Oil Pan with a front sump. Just turn the Oil Pan 180 degrees and minimal if any other modifications would be required beyond that. This is much the way the factory did it when the V-8 became a factory option until the '68 models.
  23. I agree, this is very realistic looking. A lot of details that may be missed at first glance. The stone between the blacktop and the brick give the impression of a building in a snow belt area.
  24. Been looking at all your great builds this morning. This is another very cleanly done model. I like the colors you use as they seem to show your models in the best light and resemble the original cars.
  25. Another beautiful looking showroom build. Very cleanly built.
