  1. I'm looking forward to this build. Like you, the '40 De Lux is one of my favorites.
  2. Thanks, What I wanted Scott to know that they go back even further in what was offered. I may have not made myself plan enough on that and I'm sorry if anyone gets annoyed with me, I seem to have that effect sometimes.
  3. Hobby Lobby I think wants to reopen ASAP. The problem is the stores must adhere to the state and local mandates as to when and what type of store can open. As an example here the Kansas stores are unable to open as of yet, but the stores a couple of miles away in Missouri are open.
  4. I have a couple of AMT '76 Caprices with much the same trailer and extras. Thankfully they are done in White Plastic. The Trailers look identical. Makes you wonder if the AMT's might be a redo of the MPS kits.
  5. This is a great start with information about what was offered. If you could it might be even more helpful if the year model you're mentioning is included. The above mentioned Buick models remind me of buying both the Hardtop and the Convertible issued of the '56 year model. Some of the earliest Annuals that I remember from JoHan were '56 Dodge and Oldsmobile but neither of them had interiors and were based on the use of a "Friction Motor" mounted on a flat sheet metal frame.

    '63 Bonneville

Looks very clean. I like the color and any Pontiac with 8 Lugs is cool.

    1958 belvedere.

Very nice looking build. I like the late '50's White Walls and the color looks great.
  8. Great looking Racers. You may get moved, but thank you for sharing these.
  9. Beautiful looking Type !. I like that color on this along with the wheels.
  10. The especially nice Revell Corvette kits were available as a '61 model and followed by the '62 year model. I'm wondering if the '61 was altered to make the '62 ?
  11. Nearest HL is in Kansas, closed until further notice. Second closest is in Missouri open 9 to 5 or there about. At least I have somewhere to go if I need supplies since the actual Hobby Shops still can't open.
  12. Beautiful looking Vette. The Black paint looks a mile deep.
  13. Many years ago, mostly in the mid '50's, the modeling companies would offer kits of the current year model cars and in some cases pick-ups. This was also a time when many of the American car manufactures would have Promo type models as sales promotional items. The kits that you would buy became known as "Annuals" since every year they would become models of the latest year model. At that time the thought of offering reissues years later just wasn't something even considered.
  14. I don't know if your state is starting to let some stores open now and in the coming weeks, but in some areas that is happening and that may solve your problem. Another thought may to check Amazon as they seem to offer most anything you can think of, and there're many online model supply sites that may be able to help you with your needs.
  15. I have always made fun of my wife's obsession with having a large amount of TP and Paper Towels in the basement. She is sort of a closet "Prepper" type. That is until the resent turn of events. We went to Costco yesterday for some household supplies and the had our Bounty Paper Towels. We were nearing the end of our supplies at home so I thought I was being polite by only taking two of the packages so I wasn't hording and there was another palette of towels and no signage as to quantity restrictions. We get to the check out and you would think we had killed some one on isle 12. We were informed in no uncertain terms that the limit was one only. The fact that there was no signs to tell us that didn't matter and we got dirty looks from the staff all around.
  16. Looks great and the Paint especially.
  17. What brand of polish are you using on the kits plastic ?
  18. Great looking build and the color looks good also.
  19. Nice interior, and the wheels with the modifications you have done now look like 15x8 Corvette Rally's.
  20. A lot of major body work done here and it all flows together. Like the Flathead engine and all the under hood details. The paint work is outstanding with just the right amount of well used appearance. I like the scraps along the Belly Pans. Like the almost hidden Checkered Flag Firewall. To me getting this type of finish is harder than Shinny.
  21. Beautiful looking Convertible. Did Mom have a Hemi also ? Great paint color and finish. I like how you detailed the engine bay. The Convertible top looks perfect,
  22. Great looking Ford collection. They are all cleanly built and nicely trimmed.
  23. Great looking build and I like the era styling also. I have to agree with Ace's mention of the front end fitment problems with this kit. I have built a couple of these and as he pointed out it can be a battle royal to get every part to play nice with each other. Looks like you won that battle here. The side pipes are also well done on this.
  24. Very impressive engine work. You mentioned that you extended the bodywork. You have the car to make exact measurements from, so the Pontiac is 4 inches longer ? Is the additional length in the body or forward of the Firewall or Cowl ?
  25. Great looking paint work. I don't think the owner would be considered "naughty" unless he added a bigger Cam and big port Aluminum Heads.
