  1. The "horse collar" remarks were most likely the least offensive. Because of the Forums rules regarding certain subject, I'm unable to share some of the details and I do agree with that rule having to do with subject that aren't discussed here. They have often gotten out of hand, and they're sort of rude in polite company anyway. Make from that what you may, I probably shouldn't have brought it up in the first place. I'm still interested in seeing what all you have planned for the Edsel build.
  2. Remember a lot of crude jokes about the front-end appearance when these were new. Also remember several people that would put the front - ends on their 1:1 Fords at the time as well. Looks like the previous owner did a nice job with the engine painting and colors. They did offer some interesting body colors back in '58 and '59.
  3. For the last year the local store has only had some basic snap Mustang kits and only once did I find an old Monogram '32 Ford and not one of their better efforts at that. Gotten to the point where I don't even bother checking anymore. This maybe a regional issue since others seem to be finding treasures in their areas.
  4. Visited the local Ollie's last week. They don't seem to be stocking any kits of interest anymore. Did find some Nano type of wax for our 1:1 cars.

    '78 Corvette

Great looking paint color and finish.
  6. Beautiful looking paint finish and body trim. The interior goes well with the body color. Like the engine and chassis details.
  7. Great looking body damage and paint oxidation.
  8. Your changes to the grill really changes the overall look of your build. Looks more like something other than a Ford. Great paint work and body trim.
  9. Build is looking good. Since the dash is the only change at least you know where to start looking on the fitment problem.
  10. Like the way your delivery start is looking. A suggestion on your parts storage. I picked up some clear Z-Lock type storage bags at a local health foods store. They are designed for storing pills and come in a few different sizes starting at 2" by 3" on up. They have an area on one side where you can write in what they are and where they're from.
  11. I suggest a thorough inspection top to bottom no matter what vehicle you are looking at. Ace offers some good advice concerning the Lincoln but something that I noticed was your mention of the cracked vinyl roof. This may have been caused by many years of sitting out in the hot sun and the vinyl material dries out and cracks. This can and will allow moisture to inter the padding under the vinyl roof cover and this will lead to rust on the metal roof underneath. Look for any lumps in the vinyl roof and especially around the outer edges of the top. This would apply for the Nova as well. I would take a long hard look at the Nova even though I myself would be predisposed to purchase it if you can get a better price. Any cost of repairs on the Nova may be less expensive on parts and also being a more basic car also easier to work on unless you're more experienced than the average person. Driven in a normal manor the 6 cyl. engine should give you far better gas milage providing the engine has been properly cared for, and this would apply to the Lincoln as well. Another cost of ownership to consider is your insurance cost and only your agent can help you there. Good luck to you no matter which one you pick.

  14. Great looking body finish and the matching wheels and engine colors.
  15. Great looking 1 ton dully, this would be a great work truck. Like the paint color and finish.

  19. Remarkable looking finish on the body. Great detailing on the engine and exposed suspension. Like the stance along with the wheels and tires.

  21. Beautiful looking paint finish and Bandit trim. Like the detailing on the interior and engine.
  22. Both builds are beautifully done. Fallowed your WIP and like how you melded the Ford and Plymouth bodies. Paint colors and finishes along with the wood trim look great. Like the interiors and the way you detailed the drive trains.
  23. The flame colors look great.
  24. Looks like an old Hudson from behind.
