  1. Built out of box. Body color is TS-26 Pure White with TS-13 Clear. Interior is TS-6 Matt Black with black flocking for floor and rear package tray. The Wheels are TS-42 Light Gun Metal with the heel lip and spokes highlighted with a chrome Gundam Marker. TS-71 Smoke was used for window tinting.
  2. Great looking show. The Edsel is a rare one for sure. Like the Beaumont and the Jeepster.
  3. Always enjoy this type of "dry humor".
  4. The kit decals didn't fit correctly on this, so I used just paints. The lighter colored portions are done in a base coat of XF-Wooden Deck Tan with a light dry brush of XF-68 Nato Brown followed by a light coat of X-24 Clear Yellow. On the inset panels I used a base coat of XF-52 Flat Earth and again used the Nato Brown as a light dry brush to give the effect of wood grain. The final coat of X-26 Clear Orange gives a little darker finish in that area.
  5. Great looking finish and like the cab.
  6. Great looking color combination. The interior is really well done along with the engine. Like the stance.
  7. Check the tires in the kit. Built one a few years ago and it had slicks and traction bars in the kit.
  8. If it comes to pass and you try using the '59 El Camino dash, or any other dash for that matter. Stay with the kits dash since it should fit the areas of the windshield and where it meets the door panels. Lay some tape over the top of the El Camino dash and cut the tape to match its shape. Lay the tape over the top of the "57 Kits dash and see how much you would need to remove from the kits dash before you ever start cutting. This should give you an idea as to whether it is even a feasible modification. What I found was the key was to use the outer edges of the kits dash and then carve out the area where the aftermarket dash would fit. This way the dash will fit the body just as it would if no mods were done. Your grill looks great, maybe a little gold paint if you're going for the stock look.
  9. I would keep this one around to hold down the insect population.
  10. Like the color combination and the body layout. Maybe a chopped windshield?
  11. Great looking build style and flat paint. I like your engine selection as that would make for an interesting setup.
  12. Great looking body work and paint. Like the El Camino interior and drive train.
  13. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the engine detailing and the stance.
  14. Beautiful looking showroom style build. As nice as the body and paint are, the interior detailing is what catches my eye the most. This is all very realistic looking and a popular color combination at the time.
  15. Beautiful looking paint and stripe finishes. Following your WIP you did a lot of interior modifications to represent a '68 Custom interior. Having come that era I have to wonder how your father got this Camaro insured. I had to hide a 427 in a Bel Air two door to even get insurance at that time.
  16. Like this color combination better than the prototype. Smooth finish and cleanly detailed trim.
  17. Beautiful looking paint and trim along with the interior detailing.
  18. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the stance. The Holden cars had some really nice four door body styles.
  19. Great looking paint finish and interior. These early friction cars had very good body proportions.
  20. Great looking Road Runner. Got the latest issue of Hot Rod in the mail yesterday and there is an artist drawing of a '70 Road Runner in it. If you don't subscribe maybe go to a Barns & Nobel and look at the magazine to see if it gives you any inspiration for another build.
  21. You had mentioned the thought of using the '59 El Camino dash and wondering if that is still something you're considering? I put an AMT '57 Chevy dash in a '57 1/2-ton model ones. Much the same issue you mentioned. I used the outer edge of the pickups dash and cut out the center and installed the '57 passenger car dash with a little putty to smooth it all out. Would this work for what you would like to do?
  22. Something I find interesting about the Canadian market cars is that they seem more ornate than the US models.
  23. Great looking top of the line Impala. What seems unusual to me is the hood emblem indicates a six-cylinder engine.
  24. Someone please save this car while you still can.
