  1. Great looking finishes on this historical Pace Car model. The engine detailing looks very realistic.

    MPC WWII Jeep

Great looking finishes and the added details make it standout.
  3. Beautiful looking paint finish and color. The Striping is all cleanly done and straight. Great looking engine and interior detailing.
  4. Great color combination with the smooth dark blue body and the bright blue interior. Clean looking body trim.
  5. A thought on the grill inset. Mr. Jenkins was a degreed Engineer and was always looking for an edge. These cars terminal speeds were in an area where they had to pay attention to their aero package as well. Like the builders in NASCAR they paid a lot of attention to the leading edge of the body and the grill in particular. Remember when the '69 Dodge Chargers in NASCAR started mounting their grills flush when they found that in the standard position the opening would catch a lot of air at high speed and by mounting their grill flush with the opening this problem went away and they were able to pick up a little speed as opposed to the recessed grills? Just maybe this could explain what the Grump was thinking.
  6. Besides the obvious difference with the stock grill trim, the interior and chassis plates between the '49 and the '50 are somewhat different. The rear package tray of the '49 gives way to an area where the top would fold on the '50. The biggest thing I think to watch for is that the main portion of the floor is longer than the '49 and where this is most notable is the chassis floor area and where it meets the floor of the interior part. In order to put a '50 interior in a '49 chassis this only requires a minimal trimming to fit. As you can tell I'm a big fan of the subject and the kits.
  7. Got the same text this morning. I knew it was a fake since my life isn't exciting enough to be having anything coming from out of country.
  8. Saw that last night. Reminds me of the Wide World of Sports theme, "The thrill of winning and the agony of defeat".
  9. Whoever wrote the script for this has a very limited automotive knowledge and may not even own a vehicle and uses Uber to get around.
  10. Wow, can't imagine doing something like this.
  11. Great looking paint and trim combination. Like the wheels and tires.
  12. When this car was new, I was working in a Toyota dealership and had a Demo with a shade of red almost this color. Your detailing of the body trim, flares, and wheel & tires are just as I remember them. By the way, these cars were a kick in the head on a winding country road.
  13. Like this body style and the paint treatment you did. Great looking engine.
  14. Like the tuff flat black paint. Great engine setup.
  15. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the engine and chassis detailing.

    Murdered 911

Beautiful paint finish and trim. Like the wheel treatment.
  17. Excellent body work. The different components all flow together smoothly and complement one another. Great paint work as well. Really captures the style of the time.
  18. I guess the beauty is in the eye of the beholder on this sort of style. Looks too busy to me and doesn't really add to the overall appearance.
  19. Structurally this maybe a better way to do the hood scoop.
  20. Perfect stance and the big & little tires look good.
  21. The hardtop you're thinking of was an option, along with a chopped version, in the original AMT '50 Ford Convertible kit.
  22. A friend of mine had one of these in the '60's. I think Pontiac offered these from around '49 thru '52. The engine in my friends was the straight eight until he got the Cadillac engine from a local retired Ambulance.
  23. Great looking color, maybe a repaint?
  24. Another source for the Moon Wheel disks from long ago. The dashboard pull knobs on '58 to '61 Fords had a shiny aluminum center that when removed and flipped over fit perfectly into the stock wheels in the old AMT kits of that time period.
  25. The more times I see the picture of this car the more I think someone is pulling our chain so to speak.
