Beautiful looking paint and interior finishes. Nicely detailed engine. Even like the period wide white walls.

The body enhancements to the front end, hood, open door and trunk all look great. The paint is very smooth and like the color. The interior has a nice contrast to the body color. The chassis work is a model all by itself.

Looks like the Tim Worm has been chewing on the lower extremities. -
We share your Rabbit infestation issues. My wife is getting closer to letting me end them if they get into her flowers in the front planter again. My problem is the close proximity to the golf cart trail by our house limits my hunting times.

The fastback roof looks at home on this body, maybe because GM did build some that way. Was the roof section from the AMT Chevrolet kit? Like the added three spears on the trunk to match the hood design. Like the color and the stance.

Great looking Roadster. Smooth paint finish and cleanly detailed engine and chassis.

Beautiful looking paint finish and the vinyl roof and tail stripes all look like the way it would have been.

Both are beautiful looking builds. I also agree with you on Audi's painted sail panels, thought they looked awkward. Great paint finishes and clean looking body trim.

Great looking paint and trim. I'm surprised at by the proportions of the body. Most of the smaller scale kits I have looked at in the past always seemed a bit off. Looking at your pictures I wouldn't have known this wasn't a 1/24th or 1/25th scale model. Like the engine and chassis detailing, and of course the wheels.

Might try striping the paint and see just how bad the plastic is underneath. Sometimes, and only sometimes an automotive type of filler primer may smooth out the surface enough to try again. I just had the same issue using some Duplicolor touch up on a Charger build. Striped the paint and was able to save the panels I had painted using this method. -

Nice, how much were they asking? -

Beautifully detailed build. I like how you do the lighting. -
Great looking paint color and smooth finish. The body trim all looks cleanly done. I had forgotten about the unique air cleaner attached to the cowl.

Tiger Paw Yellow Stripe Tires
espo replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
About the time your Mercury came out there were several different styles if white wall tires from different manufacturers. I think that Ford Motor Company along with Chrysler and a few upscale GM offerings were offered with duel white strips. I don't recall ever seeing the wording and stripe design on your tire, but that doesn't mean they weren't available. The fact that there is two different sidewall designs make me think that this tire may have been a replacement for the OEM tires. Either way this would make some great garage wall art. -

"Tiger Paw" tires were a name that Uniroyal Tire used on their "high performance" line of tires, think Uniroyal Redline tires. Don't recall ever seeing any like this, but this was a time when the tire companies were offering some unique looking tires. There was a time when some of the companies offered different colored sidewalls where you would normally have black rubber and still have wide whitewalls. Gold lines as well as blue streaks from Good Year. -
I think the whole sealed kit box thing got started because so many "sticky fingers" were pilfering parts in the old days. This still happens at swap meets today unfortunately.

Looks like the grandfather of today's shop vac. Looks like new again.

Beautiful looking finishes on the body as well as the engine and chassis. Like the addition of the engine on a skid. -
Beautiful looking color and finish. The background information makes this just that much more interesting. In addition to the body trim, your engine and chassis detailing looks very realistic for a new car.
-
Great looking original Chevelle. Despite the short comings you mentioned the trim on your build looks good.
-
Beautiful looking finishes and the engine and chassis detailing looks great.

Great looking body and your colors are era appropriate as well.
