  1. Great looking showroom style build. Good looking colors and clean trim.
  2. Great looking stock build. Like how you did the hood in the open position and the rumble seat as well.
  3. Beautiful looking save. Like the colors and the interior done to match.
  4. Beautiful looking builds. I share your memories of these cars as well. Our family car was a '56 210 4-door with a rip-roaring Blue Flame 6 and a 3 on the tree. My dad must have had plans to go racing since it was a radio delete. Your detailing of both the '55 and the '56 look showroom fresh and the optional interior on the '56 was a great option. I also built the Revell '55 Bel Air hardtop years ago and used the same colors as yours, that was very popular at the time. I have also done a few of the '56 210 and always get a little nostalgic when building one. These should on a prominent display.
  5. Great looking body color. Like the paint detailing on the chassis and engine. Are those carbs and manifold the kits intake setup?
  6. I might be able to share a little information on your Grandfather's Falcon. A friend of mine had a very similar Falcon to the one in the picture. The chrome body trim looks like this could be a Futura model which was Ford's upscale Falcon. Next notice the emblem on the front fender, this was where Ford would call out what engine was in the car, and this looks like the "260" V-8 emblem. My friend's father worked for a Ford dealer, and he was able to get a good deal on a new Falcon with the 260 engine. His was equipped with a 3-speed manual on the column but a 4-speed or even a Fordomatic was available. Even at that his was a very fast little car that could easily catch someone of guard if they that they could put down a little Falcon. The first picture of the '64 Ford Galaxy 500 looks like it has the 390 engine emblems on the lower front fenders. The '62 Ford with the two pretty young ladies on the fender may have had a 6 cylinder or one of the more basic V-8's. Hard to tell which engine may be in the dark blue or black Galaxie as the foot of the guy holding his breath is covering the area where the emblems would have been. A special event with a '53 Chevrolet in the background. Looks like a crash from a long time ago, maybe in a creek bed? You must have grown up in a "Ford Family" by the looks of the Mercury. Someone getting married? "60 Plymouth and probably a Belvidere model from the looks of the trim.
  7. We went to breakfast and run some errands this morning. I can't count the times I had to deal with drivers just like this. Some of them don't even realize that when the traffic light changes to green, which means they can now precede in a timely fashion instead of waiting till it turns yellow and then going thru the intersection. Had more than a few people tried and sideswipe us as we passed them on a multilane road. Amazing how many late model cars and truck that have nonfunctioning turn signals. The cops just sit there and watch all this, it's all good since they weren't speeding.
  8. Just a thought. Weren't there some fictitious models issued in the '60's and '70's based on some of the GM "personal luxury cars" of the era? Could this be a valve cover from one of those models?
  9. Great looking OOB build. The paint looks great and clean looking trim.

    '64 GTO

As I mentioned in your WIP, the paint work on this looks great. Nice to see this done in a showroom style as they were long ago.
  11. Great looking paint color and finish along with the body trim. Nicely detailed engine. Like the wood grain dash trim.
  12. Thanks for sharing. Liked the great variety of cars and trucks.
  13. The '57 Chevy kit looks to be the second one that AMT offered shortly before the company got sold. The advantage is that it better body and trim proportions than the original AMT '57 Chevy kit. Includes an opening trunk and a highly detailed interior.
  14. Great looking paint work. The stans seems a little different for a front wheel drive car, but like you mentioned, this is what the guy had.
  15. Great looking paint color and finish, goes well with the interior.
  16. Your additional styling touches add to the overall look.
  17. Like the camo paint. Is this one of the remote-control models?
  18. Great looking body styling and paint. Like the wheels and tires.
  19. Great color choice and the finish looks great. Clean looking body trim. As you mentioned, this brings you back to 1964. Actually, it was Sept. of 1963 and a guy I knew bought the first '64 Chevelle SS that came into the old Jack Coyle Chevrolet in San Bernardino Ca. He traded in his '63 Impala SS and not much money for a Yellow with Black interior SS that had the 220 hp 283 and 4-speed, that was the hottest setup at the start of production. The 327's didn't appear until later in '64. At the time it would draw far more attention than you might think. Thats my experience along with trying to help keeping rear tires under it.
  20. Beautiful paint color and finish. The engine upgrade looks like that is the way it should have been. Like the custom grill design.
  21. Great looking paint work to get the sun burned look. The chrome body trim all looks well done. Like the stance along with the wheels & tires.
  22. Like the idea of the extra steps removing the bed from the interior and adding it to the body. The added trim around the top of the bed rails looks far better.
  23. As the saying goes " Looks like it has been ridden hard and put away wet". A term usually referring to a horse though. Realistic looking body damage and rust. May have even been a PD car at one time?
  24. Beautiful color and finish. The white interior all looks correct for the SS. Nice to see these done in the showroom style with all the extra details.
  25. Great looking paint color and like the clean looking trim.
