  1. I know politics is officially off the table here as it should be. I have one thing to say and just leave it at that. I don't think even Steven King could make this stuff up.
  2. I can vouch for what you are saying as I have been fighting the same battle. While the biggest problem has been that my hand can easily reach my mouth while holding an overflowing fork. My biggest challenge started with the removal of growths on my Thyroid gland a few years ago. We have a program at our local Library for seniors that is a twice weekly aerobic workout. This alone has increased the ability to move about and reach for high and low objects in the home as well as an increase in our sense of balance. The first of July we joined an 24/7 fitness center and have started going 4 or 5 times a week for at least an hour or more of exercise on the equipment. While weight has only changed a few pounds since, the feeling of wellbeing is more than surprising. Dinners now are usually a salade with a little chicken and lots of carrots.
  3. The color is really eye catching and the paint finishes are all very smooth. Like the clean detailing of the interior and engine.
  4. I have used this paint and color to replicate a '66 Impala SS that I had owned long ago. The one thing that I liked was the paint coverage with lots of piment in the paint. One or two light coats tend to give you good coverage without burring any fine body or trim details.
  5. I can see maybe a GM Futurama type display vehicle. The smooth body work that flows between the different design elements along with the paint work looks great. The hatchback design is really well done and looks like, why wouldn't that work?
  6. Great looking color and the body lines show well.
  7. Besides the well laid out chassis I like the way you shaped the roof and rear window area of the body.
  8. Hi Bob, I was just trying to tell you that I'm glad the stent worked for you. I was sharing that I went through the same producer over twenty years ago and the changes were a dramatic improvement.
  9. Sorry Mike, this was meant for Bob Seagraves.
  10. Glad it all went so well for you. I had the "Widow Maker" stent done for my birthday in 2002. Everything changed for the better afterwords and hopefully it will be the same for you.
  11. Beautiful paint finish and color. Clean looking chrome trim. Like the showroom look.
  12. Great looking mix of parts along with the paint and flames.
  13. Great looking Corvette. At first, I thought this was the inspiration for the model build. The tile on the counter looks like it could be a showroom floor.
  14. Beautiful looking paint color and finish on your Cuda. The engine and chassis detailing looks great.
  15. The paint looks almost to pretty for a Farm Implement. Great detailing on the decals, wheels and engine.
  16. A lot to be said for the gloss black body and red interior to match the wheels. Whichever you decide, think about matching colors on the wheels and interior.
  17. Consider doing a spoon test just as you would when checking a paint color. Take a sacrificial decal or two and try different way to apply over different paints and when and what type of paint to use to get your desired effect. This way you will not damage the decals that you want to use on your build.
  18. I have tried getting the two halves glued together as evenly as posable. Often there is some "truing" of the mating surfaces before gluing. Seems common for there to be an uneven surface between the two parts even after all this and gluing them together. Usually sanding the two halves after gluing them together and making the oil pan and transmission as even as possible as well as the top of the block under the intake manifold area. The area behind the timing chain cover and water pump is also often an issue. After all of these surfaces are as even as you can get them there will still be a visible line where they meet and often a minor gap. I suggest using whatever you would use on any other problem area on say the body to fill the gaps. In my case I just use some Tamiya Putty, but again whatever you would normally work with should be just fine. Sanding the affected areas after the filler has hardened and then primer to see if the area is smooth enough for you. Can take a couple of applications of filler depending. Then you should be ready for a color coat.
  19. Great looking little diorama. For anyone who follows Rally Racing you can hear it in your head just looking at it.
  20. They both have beautiful looking paint colors and finishes. The stance really sets the theme on these two. Like the wheels and tires.
  21. Great looking body color and interior. Like the engine and chassis detailing. The interior looks really well done.
  22. Great looking paint and decal finishes along with the vinyl roof. Not a common color for a Judge, more of a dressed-up cruiser look. Like the engine detailing and the wheels.
  23. Looking forward to watching this build.
  24. Like the fade paint work.
  25. Sort of defeats the whole reason for having headers in the first place. More noise and back pressure in one barbaric modification.
