1976 Chevrolet Blazer K-5 SAR
espo replied to Antikainen's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I like how it looks with all of the added safety gear. Very clean looking build. -
Great looking build. Very well worn old Chevy.
-
The interior came together well. With the black body trim done I think you'll be much happier with the appearance.
-
Great looking interior and I like how you have trimmed the body and chassis.

This is a great kit and I like your color choice. Hopefully the dust in the paint can be sanded out. I bought a new '66 Impala Super Sport with the 396 & 4-speed in Danube Blue with Black interior. Except for the cost of insurance it was a great car. Look forward to your build.

Revell 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi - Sublime Green - Build #2

Beautiful build. Very realistic looking. The paint and all the trim look perfect. Glad to see you have all the under hood decals. -
Can you fuse two cars together?
espo replied to Blackkat13's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You should remember the old carpenters rule. Measure twice and cut once. It can be done but while the 1:1 cars you mention can be joined fairly easily it just doesn't always work that way in plastic. I did a somewhat similar conversion with a Revell '66 El Camino kit and used the front end of a '67 Chevelle SS. While both kits are from Revell they are not 100 % the same in and around the firewall and fenders. It got done but only after some fabrication. -
Thank you for sharing. Great pictures and the verity of classes and the build level are amazing.

Great looking build. Kind of a dressed up stocker. Did you use the stock flathead ? I built one last year as kind of a Hot Rod Muffler Shop type build. This is a really great kit to work with.

I agree with you on the metal axles, to much like going back in time. I agree with others that have felt Revell may have been concerned with the strength of the front control arms as they are very small but in scale. Nice job on filling the frame notches. I also saw the 5.0 F100 build and agree with that idea.

This turned out amazing. I thought the first photo was the inspiration for your build.

"Volumetrically - Abundant people" I just can't stop laughing. I think your idea to stay with the original roof height would be best. Like you said the proportions start getting out of hand and then the roof looks like you chopped it, unless that's what you want for the appearance.

'58 Fairlane 500 Semi-Custom! Finished at Last!
espo replied to John Goschke's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Excellent idea. That adds a lot visual fidelity since this area is noticeable on the 1:1 car. -
I like the build style especially the wheels you used.
-
Another one of your great Michiganized builds.
-
Really great looking build, seems very accurate looking.

I like the concept especially the Arden Heads. You have been there and seen these racers up close, but I wonder about the Blower Scoop. In my mind I would think that since the Hood Scoop is taking cold air from the base of the Windshield wouldn't the Blower Scoop be facing that direction rather than toward the hotter under hood air ?

I think it would be a great idea. For suggestions I would measure your door width. From the picture it might be just a little narrow. What I mean by that is if you look at a four door vehicle and a two door vehicle from the side. Usually the four door will have narrower doors and the two door will have a wider door to get into and out of the rear. In the picture your drawing looks like the front door on a four door car. Now it is only the way it looks but you can measure to be sure and adjust as you feel is right.

I have had Rat problems in the past also. Just go to any hardware store and buy a few boxes of Dicon and place them around any openings to the outside. If you have cats or dogs I wouldn't use it since it is very powerful.

As others have pointed out this very clean and well detailed. I like how you did the emblem and the little decals under the hood. A shame about the tail light lenses.

Great looking model. I'll bet the original served you well. I also agree wit the others the White with a Red interior has a very classic look that will never go out of style.

1967 Pontiac Bonneville. 2/20, COMPLETE!!

Beautiful interior the wood trim looks perfect and the chrome really makes it all stand out. -
Very creative build. Unusual wheel opening flairs. Unique idea of using the Audi drive train and chassis. I like it.

I like the build style. I agree with Tulio, it's nice to see a Ford in a Ford once in a while. Did the manifold and carbs come from Harts Parts ?

That shpuld be a great looking Road Runner and I like your wheel selection.
