  1. I really like the Sun Valley, these cars had the nicest interiors at that time also.
  2. Depends on what how and what you are trying to paint. If I can I'll mask off what I want to paint and spray paint. Some detail areas just have to be done with a brush. The biggest problems you have is all the door detail and the meeting of the seat and seat back are hard to mask and not getting any bleed thru on the base color.
  3. I always enjoy your take on beat up old pieces of equipment.
  4. Beautiful build, I'm glad you were able to finish it.
  5. Very innovative build.
  6. I have never tried these paint for flooring, but they work well for a vinyl roof on a model.
  7. Very nice truck, perfect color.
  8. If you go with a scratch built interior I have an idea that I have been playing with. Plastruct has a very thin sheet of plastic that looks like Tuck & Roll upholstery. The part # 91519 is O gauge corrugated siding but it looks perfect for interiors. It is corrugated on both sides which make it very easy to bend if need be. The interior in this kit isn't very accurate as I'm sure you have found out from your research. I really like your decal idea, is this something you have thought about selling?
  9. I like the "used look" and a very nice trailer.
  10. How about a mid '50's Pontiac or Olds ?? '55 - '56 Merc could be kind of nice. Or a really nice '66 -'67 Chevy short bed ?
  11. The Mod Top looks great in scale, 1:1 not so much. Your build looks great and very clean.
  12. I like it. You made a Custom out of a Custom. Tail lights look much cleaner and the De Soto grill look good also.
  13. A couple of years ago we had the Master Bath redone and new Hard Wood floors thru out the main level., and a new Kitchen back Splash. We were fortunate that we had a good contractor do the work but living in a construction site for a couple of months makes you think it might almost be easier to just buy a new hose next time.
  14. I also used this conversion on a Hull Raiser kit. I have had friends with "Jet Boats" and this conversion is dead on and the casting quality is perfect. A couple of technical issues that will need to be addressed. In a V-Drive set up the engine is looking at the stern, and a Jet Boat will be looking at the bow. In my case I sort of updated the engine and used a big block Chevy with a Supercharger. I used the engine mounts for the Chrysler engine with a little modification and relocated their position and it worked perfect. If you want to stay with the Chrysler you might want rethink the induction system. The six carbs. look impressive but where out by the time "Squirt Boats" came about. Tunnel Ram Intakes with one or two carbs were more common. I used a piece of spark plug wire for the control from the transom to the nozzle.
  15. Looks very nice especially being 20 years old.
  16. I like the fender flairs and splitter.
  17. Nice job on the Chassis splice, great color choice. While everyone sees color a little differently I think many think of the GM Hugger Orange as Orange. The MoPar GoMango Orange is a lighter shade of Orange but just as good looking. I have used both. Infact the GoMango Orange is on a '56 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Can't go wrong either way.
  18. That's funny, I love the idea.

Must be nice to have DEEEEP POCKETS. I like the look of the 1:1. Your grill surgery looks just like it should.
  20. Michael's had a 50% off coupon on the phone over the weekend.
  21. Sound interesting and I'll try it. For myself I have used the Tamiya clear Red over Chrome foil for tail lights and running lights with clear Orange or Yellow for the other markers.
  22. Looks like you have a great basis no matter which way you want to build it. Very nice body lines, I'd lose to stripes though.
  23. I bought a 2 oz. bottle of ZAP-A-Gap a few years ago. It's the medium CA+ and it has worked fine and I may not live long enough to use it all. I'm only about half way thru the container is all.
  24. Thank you for sharing. The builds look outstanding.
  25. Great engineering on the drive train on this.
