Great looking build. I'm sure James Bond would approve also.

Beautiful build. I like the little details that often get overlooked, the chrome trim around the tail light lenses for instance. The stance is just right.
-
Just like everyone else I think your build is perfect. You mentioned changing styles as to the engine room colors, your build represents real parts in the color that they are usually found on a 1:1 car. This happens to be one of the reasons I personally like what you did. Like many others have offered if you want to do it differently I'll send you a brand new untouched GTX kit for this one. This one is just to nice to mess with.

Your friend should enjoy your build, it looks great. The grill area doesn't look quite right to me, but I'm no expert on these cars. I do like the oversized Mini Light type wheels. I got to drive a 1:1 for a short distance, it had the 2.8 liter and a manual, a very impressive car.

Great looking build. I like how you blended the three different colors on the interior. Outstanding paint color and finish.

Help with Revell 1966 gt350 stripes

Another method to consider. I use abroad soft paint brush as this allows you to move around the decal as needed and is easier the straighten a decal if it folds over. Solvaset makes a couple of great products, you might try putting just a dab of water or solutions on the body before applying the decal. Also the brush can be easier to work out bubbles and aid the decal to settle down over body contours. When the decal is positioned were you want it you can use a small piece of paper towel to draw off any excess fluids. If you have any old decals that you don't plan to use just experiment on a plastic spoon and see what works best for you. If you don't already you should have picnic spoons handy anytime you want to try something new or different. -
I like the mesh you added to the grill. Are you planning on front bumper or a roll pan ? The leading edge of the hood on this model always stood a little "proud". If you are thinking of changing it you might do something like the Foose truck but not quite as radical.

I like your conversion and thank you for the idea. For myself I just never cared for the hood design. I think GM was trying to tie it to the '59 Impala of the time. -
Very nice clean build, sometimes hard with the engine out in the breeze so to speak. I like how you did the plug wires to match the body color. The rear tires are interesting, I like the tread pattern.
-
Great looking build. The color shows the body lines well. The '59 Caddie tail lights were very popular on these cars.
-
I have used Tamiya Putty for many years with no issues. That said, if you're trying to "build" a body section and really piling it on you might want to try an Automotive type filler.

I like the wagon idea and the "Vista Cruiser" roof looks OK. The rear hatch really looks like a Pinto Hatchback window. There doesn't like there is any "Tail Gate". I much prefer the design from Bill Engwer as it looks much sleeker.

Well I was "there" and I still have my facilities. Just celebrated my 73rd birthday in June. I'm what you might call "A young man trapped in an old body". After modeling one of my favorite hobbies is going "Wheel'n" at Jeep Jamborees. We have gone to gatherings in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, and often go to Colorado in the Silverthorne area. Being Friday night we'll be going to a local Winery for music, libation, and maybe even a little dancing. I might be old to some, but I'm not dead. There's no toe tag on me yet. Age is but a state of mind my friend. -
I have used Enterprise on only a few occasions and every time it was like "Lets Make a Deal" with them. I tried reserving a Pontiac Bonneville several years ago and was assured it would be waiting. A Toyota Camry is not a Bonneville no matter what they think. Needed a full size car for a vacation and at least I got a Dodge Magnum wagon but with the 2.7 liter engine I was a mobile road hazard. Got a Grand Prix in Seattle once with bald front tires. The last time I needed a full size car to take Wife, Mother-in-law, and others to a family funeral. After threatening to call Corporate Headquarters, and I wasn't kidding, they gave me a Ford "Exploder" which worked out fine since it had started to snow. I almost had to take a second on our home to pay for all the gas that thing used. If I ever rent another car it will not be from Enterprise. Did I mention the Chevrolet Spectrum that they gave us in Hawaii years ago. That thing could not get to the top of the Volcano on Maui and almost couldn't stop at the bottom of the hill.

Great looking build. Except for the Red Lines you would never suspect what was under the hood.
-
Your build looks great. It is hard to get to excited over the Probe as a car.
-
Your build has a nice crisp clean look. I like the White with Red Interior. Not often seen in 1:1 which is to bad.
-
Good thing he wasn't hungry. They can run faster than you can and climb a tree faster also. It may be a myth, but I was once told the only hope was to run down hill since their shorter front legs keep them from going down hill very fast. Looks like beautiful country side for hiking.
-
Nice clean build. I think Ford offered a color much like this on their Mustangs at that time.
-
Congratulations on the well deserved award. I also would like to see more.
-
No faults with this one. I personally really like that color and only saw a few Chevrolets that color long ago. The paint finish is outstanding and the interior matches perfectly.
-
Off to a good start. It looks like you found one of the earlier reissues with minimal flash on the body.
-
Great looking color combo. The body finish is very smooth and the interior has just the right amount of shine to the "vinyl".

That's like the ones I remember. A little story. Just before turning 16 and on the look out for a car, any car, there was a used car dealer that sold old ambulances, lemos, and hearses. I saw a couple of old flower cars there and I wanted one in the worst way. These were '47 and '48 year models and the time frame was spring of 1959 in the burb's of Chicago. My getting any car was not in my father's plans anyway and you can imagine what he thought of the Flower Car idea.

The only Flower Cars I remember were more like an El Camino style Hearse. They would be open behind the driver and the flowers would be displayed in the bed.
