  1. The paint finish looks great.
  2. I think that car was profiled in one of the car mags a couple of months ago.
  3. Depending on what I'm trying to do I'll use a couple of different "pads" to set the roof on. A clean Micro Fiber towel works well most of the time, but if I need to have the body at an odd angle I'll use a foam rubber that I bought years ago. The foam is about a foot long and is shaped with two different sized dips on top. When foiling it holds the body at a perfect angle so that I can lay down the foil without trying to hold the body in position at the same time, it also works great when installing the windows for the same reason. I think I got it at the local hobby shop, but it has been a long time ago.

Man you wouldn't loose that in a parking lot. Very bright and smooth paint. I also like the Carbon Fiber hood. Nice clean engine compartment.
  5. Great build. The paint is perfect, and you got the stance just right. The wheel color choice reflects the current trend in the "Street Rod" world.

    Mazda RX-7

Great looking build. The paint is nice and smooth, the interior is very well done.
  7. iBorg makes a very good point about prep on a Resin body. I would offer an additional idea when sanding, do it away from your work bench. Consider stepping out side even. The "dust" created when sanding Resin bodies will get all over the other parts in the build. This can and will cause issues when painting these parts. Your frame looks great.
  8. Nice color choice. I notice a some body issues you might want to look at before you get to the final coats of paint. I notice that the roof has a dimple in the center where the dome light is below on the inside as well as the rear view mirror just behind the windshield. There is a very visible mold line at the top of the "C" pillar. From what I can see of the interior it looks great.
  9. Got mine yesterday, the same packaging problem everyone else is having. The body is in the box with the delicate Windshield Post against the side of the box. I think that even with normal handling the frame will get broken just as mine is. Mine is broken right in the middle of the top peace. Time to contact Revell.
  10. Glad to see you're back after this one. Your weathering looks perfect for a car that has been driven on some dirt roads.
  11. Great looking build, nice engine and interior detailing.
  12. The Michaels that I have visited in this area also have much older stock, could be because they're $4 to $6 higher than Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby is starting to get some new or reissue kits but they're also higher than the regular hobby store by at least $3 to $6. So just how much are you really saving with a 40% off coupon ?? Not very much plus a limited offering on anything new.
  13. I read an article about the industrialist who developed the Crosly, He also designed and built the concrete Liberty Ships during WW II. I had a class mate when I was a freshman in high school who was fixing up a Crosly wagon for when he turned 16. We lived in an area about 15 miles out of the small town 25 miles outside Chicago. With a 60 MPH zone on a two lane hiway with a few small hills he was afraid to drive it to school. It was fun around the neighborhood, two six foot plus guys we must have looked like a circus act.
  14. Thank you for sharing. Great variety of makes. When was the last time you saw a Crosly a Sunbeam Tiger and an Opal all in one place ?
  15. Very nice. The grill is different than any I have seen before, is a combination or as you found it.
  16. I always enjoy how you Michiganize your builds. That is quit a front bumper. Looks great.
  17. Outrageous, but that's what makes it so great. You could drive that anywhere you wanted to go.
  18. Outstanding build in so many ways. You "home made" wood bed looks perfect. I really like the paint.

    BMW 2002tii

Looks just like the real car. I especially like the interior treatment on the seats.
  20. Beautiful redo. You would never know that was the glue bomb in the before picture. It looks like who ever built this the first time used every part in the 3 in 1 kit.
  21. Thank you for sharing. I like a show with a lot of cars that could be used every day of the week. Great looking "Sleds" and Bikes.
  22. I really like the '49 Ford. The Chrysler "Hurst" edition is great, but you better watch out for the sleeper Fairlane. Great models all.
  23. Tung in cheek, very funny. I like it.
  24. Great looking rebuild. The colors are era perfect.
  25. Beautiful build. The color really gives it a classic look. You may remember the old Buick tag line. "When better cars are built Buick will build them"
