In the past I used the Decon in the wedge-shaped box when we built a new home in what used to be a field that they had grazed cattle in. The rodent infestation in that new garage was more like a Rodent Motel 6. I put a couple of the wedges in the garage and the problem was solved, except for finding the dehydrated carcasses here and there around the garage. They didn't even smell. They don't seem to offer those around here and for the last three years we've been using the old fashion traps and what they are selling now as Decon along with a local commercial exterminator putting traps in our garage. The traps on a board seem to be the most effective. With winter approaching I'm looking at any alternatives I think might help. Where we live there is a large habitat for rodents along with all kinds of woodland creatures. We have a small creek nearby and lots of trees. brush, and undergrowth between us and some farmer's fields nearby as well.

Don't even know if this would help, but I'm trying something I saw online about repelling mice. Spray the area under hood with Lisol. Seems that rodents and maybe others don't like the smell. Works well for cleaning surfaces anyway.

Great looking paint finish and color. The wheels almost remind one of the failed factory alloys offered at the time, they were very porous and wouldn't hold air with tubeless tires.

Your vinyl roof and seat inserts look even wilder than what the factory did.

Like your paint scheme. I just finished something similar on a '57 Chrysler 300 that I'm working on. I also have a resin '58 Yoman that I have threatened to do something with for a while. How and what all did you do for your hood? Which doner kit are you using for the chassis?

The lower line wagon is good looking and could be one way around the door length issue. Just a personal choice but never cared for the '58 style hood, even on '58's.

I'll be looking forward to your build when you get back to this. I might offer a couple of things to consider accomplishing your body modifications. Consider using plastic stock to create the extension of the tail fins if you still want to do that. This way you wouldn't even have to touch the body side moldings, and you can shape the fins the way you want them. Widening the doors would have you redoing some or even all of the body side moldings. The kits rear door edge could be filled and a new door opening line cut into the existing molding as one way to do that. The reshaping of the B pillar could be done by cutting away the forward portion of the pillar and run it parallel to the exciting back edge, but there is the door handle that you would have to replace. As for the engine, if you don't have a good-looking Ford Cammer engine from another kit think about a 3D printed one as there are a few good ones available. As to the suspension changes, the Revell '57 Ford kit has little room for wider tires than stock with the kit's inner fenders. While the wagon kit is actually better than the coupe it is still tight unless you reshape the inner fenders. Depending on how much you're wanting to do on the chassis as the prototype has an aftermarket chassis you may be looking at a 3D printed chassis as well. While costly, at least some excellent aftermarket 3D chassis and engines would make this easier to do.

Edsel did have some bright color combinations at the time, some were even had three colors.

Thanks for sharing. Always liked the Javelins and the AMX's. I knew a guy who bought a new Rambler Rogue with the small V8 and a 4-speed, great handling car and faster than it had a right to be. These cars often didn't get the respect they deserved.

Sorry to hear about your foul weather. Unfortunately, this happens around here as well at times. The local news channels always flash a message on the TV at those time to remind everyone to "Turn around, don't drawn". Still there is always the video footage on the 10 pm news showing rescuers and helicopters trying to save someone who also thought their car was a motorboat. Seems to be a recessive gene thing but the gene pool is slowly getting shallower with each storm.
