Thanks fellows. I believe only one was built with this body style. Put another coat of paint down and found I have a bare spot ( fish eye ? ) . So I guess some sanding , priming and more painting will be in my future. That's the way the hobby goes sometimes.
Looks good. Years and years ago I had one like that in red. Monza with the 110 engine if I remember right. I lived in illinois at the time and that little car was darn good in the snow.
Dan , your tires and wheels are a great improvement. Having just received this kit a week or so ago I am watching your build with great interest. the box included tires and wheels are undersized. I wanted to do this model stock but was forced to dig threw my parts and find better sized rolling stock. Better but still undersized I feel. I ordered Duplicolor Sonic Blue Pearl as a paint color.
After a long pause I started up on this one again . Been stalling due to the fact that there is a bunch of PE parts . I don’t do well with P E parts . Anyway , doing the best I can I primed the body with Tamiya white primer . The paint is Tamiya Pure Red . More paint needed before the Duplicolor 1 K clear . I love the wire wheels in this kit . My only hope is that it looks presentable when finished .
I always clear over decals, some guys rather not. I always spray with Tamiya paints for the most part sometimes Duplicolor and have been using Duplicolor !K clear with out any problems.
