  1. With round ones I have sometimes drilled out the gauge with my drill press and mounted the paper from behind and then coat with Krystal Klear. Not sure it's really worth the effort but it looks pretty good as long as you center the drill bit. ?
  2. This one really was a glue bomb . It was donated to me by fellow member ewetwo . Thanks ! This one was actually a little worse when I got a good look at it . A normal save would be tough but wanted to do something with it . This is what I came up with . I cut up the Cobra body and I am combining with parts from AMT 25 T . Weird perhaps but I wanted to save it even if not stock .
  3. Thank you guys. Yes Brian dipped into a bucket of water with some different colors of enamel paint dripped into the bucket.
  4. Man, that's sad.
  5. Glad you are posting this. I am trying to get up the nerve to start mine. After more info on the Meng kit I think I will just keep the Magnifier kit and save the 400 or so bucks the Meng kit will cost.
  6. I think you are right about those front fenders.
  7. Thank you fellows.
  8. Looks good. I like the colors too !
  9. Nice work, looks great !
  10. Most motorized or once motorized kits I have ever built suffer greatly in details. I can not speak to this kit however.
  11. You got outbid on your birthday ?
  12. Great movie and great model !
  13. Packing and moving is so much fun. NOT !
  14. Been waiting for someone to do this kit (Revell ? ) for a long time. I would buy at least a couple.
  15. Nicely done !
  16. Very nice , well done !
  17. Nice looking Lark Tom.
  18. Very sharp looking Cobra, I like it !
  19. Very cool model.
  20. Wow, that custom 56 is a beauty.
  21. I really like this kit and have bought one at least 5 times . This is the only one I have built as intended . All the ones I built before I just used the chassis and different bodies . The kit bodies then were used to make fuel coupes . I have wanted to try the swirladelic style of paint for a long time so I decided to try it on this kit . Not really fond of it and won’t do another but at least now I did one for the heck of it . Never again !
  22. Thanks Jason. I know the paint job is silly but it's a model so what the heck. Been thinking of trying that method for years. It's one of those jobs you hate or you really hate it ! ?
