  1. Very true, The black Bonneville I posted above is done exactly as Steve G referred to above. ,,,same as the blue 60 Ford I posted . The Bonneville is on ebay and the ford is on my PB account To see where the image is hosted , right click on the pic and then click properties . It will show where its hosted. But I try to not use this method unless its going to be for a very short time to get my point across.
  2. I'll brutally honest. the style/ subject matter isn't my usual cup of tea. But,,,WOW, I like it, all of it , from the color choices to the overall look. But especially the uniqueness of the turbo 4 cyl is just plain cool . well done
  3. It's very simple to post photos from the internet. Just copy & paste. Find the picture you want, right click on it, click on "copy image". Then go to the forum, right click anywhere in the text box that you're posting in & click "paste". Now if you're using a device such as an ipad or other device without a mouse, I can't help you. I use my good old desk top computer & it's as easy as pie Sweet, that worked. I didn't know you could do that
  4. Duh, I Should refrain posting till I've had my morning coffee. I knew that, as I have a Johan 1960 here close to my desk
  5. Sent him a message thru facebook nearly a week ago, no answer. and he doesnt take pms here
  6. Johan 1959 and 1960 Cadillac were both 4 door AMT/SMP 1959 Oldsmobile was a 4 door( 1960 kit went to a 2 door bodystyle ) Promos , I have no info on. as I avoid any promo prior to about 1963 due to warp issues
  7. I know Missing Link was doing an early Ford F100. No idea the year or if its even still avail
  8. I have never once sprayed Testors silver of gold and not have it look blotchy or stringy looking. I quit using it for a topcoat on large areas several back. Now its used as an undercoat only.
  9. Harry, 1st, I am not familiar with that procedure. 2nd maybe its my pc, but to me PB is extremely slow to open/oad , if it works at all . I'll use it only as a last resort. I just loaded 2 pics here, took me less than 5 seconds to do them both. Once they've served there purpose and/or the thread dies, I'll delete them to gain board space to load others later on down the road. Again I can upload multiple pics in seconds
  10. A couple 2fers
  11. I click on the dodad that says - Insert image from URL. All I get is the little swirly thing going around and around, no image no nuttin. And I've tried using Ebay pics,Pics I used to have hosted on my internet providers server or just pics found on the web with the URL of said pic,,,,,same result, that little swirly thing . But yet they work just fine when posted elsewhere. Image linking issues are with this new server for the board. I have a photo bucket account and its a pain to load them there, then HOPE PB works like its supposed to ,,to link them here. I'll load them here and delete them off as needed once its served its purpose, or not at all
  12. I almost hate to say this, but its not that bad . Maybe in a different color it would be good / better. I'm not a flat black kind of guy . But I'd paint it a different color and drive it for a summer. Then right back up for sale in the fall
  13. WOW, I thought the 1st pic was of 2 real cars
  14. Very, very nice haul. I have both the 59 and 69 Buick convertibles. And the more I look at the 60, the more I think I want a hardtop as well to do some sort of hotrod / cruiser
  15. I read on another board. the Lawman was being tooled into a 2 door sedan like the Dodges are ,,,thus the delays. Anyone know for certain one way or another
  16. Sorry, I mistook it to use the entire frame ,,which I think would be easier to fab from scratch as opposed to all the changes required to the entire frame to look reasonably close to a C body chassis In regards to the front inner fenders, look at the same in the AMT 1962 Catalina as a starting point maybe ?
  17. nice review, thanks. I have a 'slight' interest in this kit . I will most likely grab one at some point ,,,,,But I think I'll wait and pick one up with a discount coupon at Hobby Lobby or something.
  18. The 57 Chrysler 300 had a full bolt in frame,,,, the C body line in the early to mid/late 60s was a welded in rear frame to integral solid floor pans Something to keep in mind depending how accurate you want to be, the track width is wider on the C body cars compared to the B bodies
  19. The only flip front car I have , or any interest in having Chris Langs Malco Gasser Corvette
  20. Sweet, I like that one A LOT can I have it??????? lol
  21. Steve, Good deal,,,,,,Glad it made it ok. Looking forward to watch you work your magic on it . I bought it new ,,many many years ago . The chrome has been wrapped in a paper towel almost from the day I got it . I've got 2 more in almost the exact same condition,,plus a couple more with minor issues But I think I got the better end of the deal, a REALLY nice 1960 Oldsmobile hardtops don't exactly grow on trees ,,,and its going to be pretty close to the front of the line when I get back to the bench this fall . I plan to get a couple car bodies painted in the next few weeks. but any sustained model bench time is about to get very limited for me
  22. My exact thoughts. It would have went sailing away long ago if it were mine . Just push thru and forget about it. I am sure the end result will be worth the little bumps along the way
