  1. An absolutly pristine 1959 Edsel kit. That one hurt the toy fund.
  2. my thoughts exactly My deepest condolences to the entire Holthaus family.
  3. This is by far not the worst build I've ever done. But its the the worst one I happen to still have... And to be honest Its one of my favorites today. And is highly unlikely it will ever get 'redone'
  4. 5 weeks ..? wow, Impressive
  5. I'm in. I've been looking for one of these for myself. Without much success I might add
  6. What ,,,no pictures ? ps,,,I for one vote you need to start a thread with pictures of all these old annuals builtups in one post .
  7. No Sixpack on any mopar in 1968
  8. Carter AVS, I think this one was painted with Jet exhaust. Then flowed a little detailer on it to bring out the details
  9. Steve, I saw that one listed and almost went after it myself. I've noticed theres been a few 63 Dodge kits lately avail. on the 'Bay. I might have to snag a convertible for myself . But its not like I actually NEED it ,,,,
  10. The modelhaus frame I have in this , does indeed have sunvisors attached
  11. I just finished out my last pack of BMF, and its probably 3 or 4 years old. I had no adhesion issues what so ever. Mine hangs in the basement so I cant say if I have any humidity issues My one and only complaint is there seems to be less glue along the edge of the sheet ,,,,so I just avoid the first 1/4" or so along the edge of the sheet and all is good
  12. Thats something that would be extremly time consuming to put together. Although I myself would sure like to have something like it ,,if its accurate
  13. My haul from over the weekend these are the keepers 1960 LIncoln, 1961 New Yorker , 1962 Bonneville , and a re-issue 1955 Pontiac .
  14. I doubt, you would feel that way if it was YOUR companies tooling that YOUR company paid for that was being used to make said knockoffs without YOUR company was being compensated for there use
  15. If you want a 1968 model year.....your only option is the AMT kit. 1969 is Johan only. 1970 is johan followed by the poor excuse monogram kit. I would love to see an accurate 1970 kit in 1.25th scale..but imo is unlikely. I have all 3 so I haven't been looking lately..but I know the 70 will easily pull the most of the 3 built or inbuilt . the 69 kit is available but even the reissues pull decent money. at the local swap meet this past weekend there was decent original issue 1969 builtup for less than 45 I've turned down over a $100 for my builtup 70 kit. So I feel there is a solid market for a new tool of it. Same goes for mpc 1968 or 69 coronet kit.
  16. I've got a couple extras of the original issue of the AMT 1968's I would let go of . Boxs are still sealed pm me and we can work out something
  17. What's not to like. ... It's big. It's flashy. With lots of chrome. I remember as a kid the man on the end of my street had one. It was dark red......and back then I thought it was oh so ugly. (I was about 10 or so ..no idea what year it was ) But......now I really like them I think it's the unique look of the grille and rear bumper..
  18. If your waiting / hoping for an all new 1968 thru 1970 Road Runner kit My gut says dont hold your breath. As far as the AMT 1968,,, Its a far cry from unbuildable . I have several of the original issues so I cant comment of the quality of the newer and/or newest releases
  19. It is, and with just the slightest bit of effort. It can be made into a very presentable build. Especially considering this kit came out ,,what nearly 20 years ago ? Plus,,,,,,,I like the shape of the door scallops on the AMT body WAAAAAAY better than the ones on the Revell example . I used the 1968 Roadrunner chassis and suspension under this ,,,but otherwise it's all AMT
  20. Steve. what's the difference in the tires..I see 2 different pt numbers?
  21. I watched this one. I have seen some builds crack the 1k mark several times in the past few months Yet some sit unsold for 29.95 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-Buick-Limited-2-Dr-Hardtop-Coupe-Pro-Built-1-25-Modelhaus-Resin-/291422712853?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43da25b415&nma=true&si=jrTvUAIR34Kx%252B%252BwpmxNVkPwngWI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  22. Something tells me , he probably doesnt. At least not very far.
  23. Hoping to get really good money out of builtups is very hit or miss ( usually miss ) Made the mistake of selling off a bunch a few years ago when I needed room......I am about out of room once again,,,this time I'll just get another display case
  24. If it's a metal chassis plate,,its a dealer promo. If its warped , its a dealer promo.
  25. Chances are a reseller of collector kits IS selling online . Setting up at a show / swap meet is just a secondary approach. You would be suprised at how many buyers would much rather pick ip up a look it over before paying out several hundreds of dollars on a single kit ( mself included ) As far as HOW much profit he makes,,,,,, is somewhere in between his hope to get price and his buyers willing to pay price.
