  1. Lost forever ? I don't think so. I have found stuff I thought I sold or just plain forgot I had and haven't seen it in some case 10 plus years( recent 1971 duster kit as an example) Most recent was I found a baggie with a batch of stock resin grilles for a 1970 Duster,, I knew I bought but had no idea where they were. Want to find something you lost,,,,,,,,buy a replacement then the original just miraclessly just pops up every time.
  2. All the AFX cars were delivered with a crossram , so early on many cars ran with them ( thus the hood scoop ) Also, it would not be out of the question to run short stack injection and still be under the hood scoop
  3. Ok, I've collected most of what I need in resin to bring this project to the for front. It's a 1964 Dodge 1 ton dually and I need a reasonably accurate chassis of it ,,,,,, 2wd btw any ideas whats the best option . I have a couple of the later dodge D100 chassis I may go with if nothing more accurate is avail.
  4. Ok, anyone care to share build tips to do one of these. as in order of assy .fit issues etc etc ? I REALLY want to build one,,,,,and if I can avoid any mistakes or issues before hand might be a good thing
  5. pm me an address and I'll mail you one. I've got a couple of them
  6. SWEEEEEEET ! SOOOOOO much better looking than the batmobile. Same here, I've got one to do someday and every time I get it out to begin,,,the mufti-piece body scares me off and back in the box it goes same goes for the club-de-mer
  7. Pm me an address, I'll send you my 1968 CMG mpc body , that way when your painting yours, you can paint mine right along with it.
  8. http://www.71chargerrtregistry.com/
  9. This is my understanding as well.
  10. The original MPC kit doesn't have the ridge on thr trunk lid either
  11. Keep teasing me with this kind of quality / detail , and I might have to get one of these to do a Glidden car for myself ( the subject is a tad bit newer than I normally venture )
  12. I really like what you did with this one.. The body lines just scream Virgil Exner and I love it I just did one of these as a ramchargers car and it's probaly one of my favorite builds to date.
  13. quote name="cnaind" post="853064" time="1357741568"] Norseman - need to finish interior, everything else done. As in Chrysler Norseman show car ? if so, I'll take one as soon as it's ready
  14. Eye candy And you can see in some pictures it has the blue tinted glass, and in others it has clear glass, when which was which , I have no idea. I am pretty sure the car restored today has clear glass. ps, I also just noticed some pictures it has a 2 headlight grille and in some it has a 4 headlight grille.
  15. I just looked thru all my AFX cars pictures. And I didn't find one single picture of the Landy car with a vent wing frame but every one has a frame around the door glass. I DID find a few of the Sox and MArtin Paper Tiger 1 car that had the vent wing frames. I still think this is a cool picture . If I cound find the truck cab, I might considering attempting this in scale .
  16. Normally, I am not a gasser class fan,,,,,, but that is just plain cool. I just might have to build one myself just for giggles.
  17. WooHoo, A resin bed for a project that is now a lot closer to the ft of line than it was recently.
  18. I've seen these pop up on ebay from time to time. I keep thinking I want one to replicate my actual truck. But I always find something I need / want worst so it gets bypassed
  19. As far as a seperate insurance rider to cover modle kits specifically ? No I think I have a rider to cover to cover collectibles / jewelry. Need to ck with the wife god on specifics.
  20. In my diggings. I think it was when the private teams/owners started modifiyng there own cars for the AFX class is when I think the straight axles started showing up. I don't remember ever seeing any pics of the Landy 65 car with a straight axle under it. 'ALL' of the factory built cars were moved ft and rear suspension retaining the K-frame control arm layout. PS,all the factory built cars were hardtops, Most (but not all ) of the private built cars were sedans
  21. Speed City Resin body ?
  22. My all time favorite car bar none. I have a builtup to do someday( when my airbrush skills improve) I am going to keep a close eye on this one.
