  1. If the smell of paint fumes is an issue, you'll have to use acrylics. Personally, I've never made the craft paint/Future combination work. Cheap and easy to remove if needed though. 91% isopropyl alcohol will remove acrylics and most lacquers. Super clean will too and it strips chrome finishes.
  2. My experience and advice is, don't mix different brands. Some folks have had success. I have the fewest problems when I stay with the same brand of primer, paint and clear during the process.
  3. Welcome aboard Bruce!
  4. Unless I missed it, I'm the only one that likes Honey Nut Cheerios. The chocolate ones too.
  5. Twixt six thick thumbs stick six thick sticks. Say that 3 times fast!
  6. If your question is how to polish Future, you can't. I can't anyway.
  7. No thinner needed.
  8. I use the $19.99 LEDs from Harbor Freight.
  9. Paasche H is my choice for a first airbrush. Simple, inexpensive and works great.
  10. Thanks, Bill. Hadn't tried that yet.
  11. It's a little thick but I like the 3M thin line you can get at any auto parts place. It's vinyl and can follow a curved line fairly well. I also use Tamiya yellow too. One trick is to put the tape down and then spray a coat of clear over it to seal the edges.
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. Noce! That's one more than I've gotten finished this year.
  15. I've got a PS290 and love it. Get the Iwata handle for it. Not sure which model Iwata but someone here should recall it. Makes holding and squeezing the trigger much easier.
  16. Welcome, new guy! My cousin has lived in Denver for more than 50 years. Visited her in June. Didn't want to come back to Tennessee. It's so beautiful there.
  17. Keep them? Heck no. I don't even follow them. ??
  18. The long blue car is Mickey Thompson's world land speed record car, Challenger II, I think.
  19. I started out with this method but made some stands using small round PVC with a PVC cap on the end. The stand is glued to a piece of 2x4. I use double sided tape to hold the part to the stand.
  20. One thing no one has mentioned is ice. My back doc confirmed 2 herniated discs a couple of years ago but I think it's 3 now. Get yourself a copper fit belt that holds an ice pack if it's your lower back. It helps me a lot.
  21. Looks like something that should be parked in front of Neyland stadium today. GO VOLS!!!!! BEAT VANDY!!!!
  22. My only suggestion would be to use a really good pair of tweezers to try and get between the decal and the backing sheet and lift it. Another method might be to soak the decal thoroughly, lay it on a piece of paper towel and use a Q-tip to test it for movement. Once it's moving, it should slide of the backing. Try either method with some extra decals. Good luck. Let us know if that works.
  23. Great build! That paint job is superlative!
