Dave B Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) Pretty much a box stock build of the Historic Racing Miniatures 450S. I have added the Hasegawa photo etched wire wheels (the hardest part of the build was assembling these!!), added some internal chassis tubing in the cockpit and the filler caps to the rear deck. Harold did a nice job modelling a generic 450S for the price. It is curbside only but a LOT cheaper than the ProFil 24 release. Thanks for looking Dave B Edited April 28, 2016 by Bantoft
afx Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Outstanding! Nicer finish than the original 1:1 I would guess.
droogie Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Terrific model of a great looking car! The epitome of 1950s sports racing machinery.
Foxer Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Magnificent! beautiful paint and those wire wheels ..!
wayne swayze Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Gorgeous looking car......very nicely built!
Gluebomber Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Beautiful build, Dave. What kind of wheels came with the kit?
Dann Tier Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 All I can say is, BEAUTIFUL!!!! wish people built more of these cars. Any chance of you building its competitors like Aston Martin, or Jaguars "C" type?!!
Zoom Zoom Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Beautiful...glad I bought one of these and an extra set of the Hasegawa wheels! Love Harold's stuff. Saving this thread for reference.
Hubert Rollins Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Absolutely beautiful!! Amazing job on the paint!!
MrObsessive Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Dave that is absolutely gorgeous! I've always loved this car, and it seems a bit underrated compared to the Ferrari Testarossas of the same era. I forgot that Harold made this one..........A few months back I went and bought the ProFil 24 one from Ed Cervo on eBay (ed427Vette), and certainly would like to build it sometime. And yes, it was pricey! Most that I've paid for a kit in a loooooong time!
bbowser Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 What can I say that hasn't already been said? Outstanding!
Harry P. Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Spectacular! That paint just can't get any better! Beautiful model.
