Impalow Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 (edited) I finally got around to taking some good photos for an under glass post... Sadly I kinda already "gave away the farm" over on the project log... but oh well, I was excited. This was built for the Buckeye Classic- Ohio Challenge... which for 2017 was the Revell 1929 Roadster built anyway you want it... All/most of the details are over here in the project log: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/119211-1929-model-a-roadster-artdecocoachbuiltstreamliner-done/ Thanks for everyone's support and encouragement on this project!!!! This board is an amazing place!! Edited July 5, 2017 by Impalow
FordRodnKustom Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 WOW! That's a beautiful work of art. To me every element and detail of it is just perfect. Well done!
crazyjim Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Followed along the WIP of this build and find it to be just amazing.

Eric Macleod Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 This is the best model I have seen in some time. How did the Ohio contest turn out?
James2 Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Such a sweet and well crafted creation. All the different techniques and designs were executed beautifully. WELL DONE!
bobthehobbyguy Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 That is absolutely amazing. Superb craftsmanship and design.
Foxer Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 This was a beauty all through the build ... and now ... there's not a bad angle on it! Thanks for letting us enjoy your build along with you.
Impalow Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 Thank you all! This is the best model I have seen in some time. How did the Ohio contest turn out? Thank you!!! I did manage to bring home the Ohio challenge win... Probably 10-12 great looking Model A's in the challenge... This project was something I had wanted to do for awhile, the contest deadline just gave me the motivation to get on it, and finish it. Next years challenge is the Moebius Comet Cylcone... So if anyone wants to participate, just get started building.. i'm a bit clueless on this one...
Phildaupho Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Congratulations Eric on your creation. To me this is the model of the year so far maybe even the decade and millennium. Yes I am extremely impressed. It deserves a name and to be built full scale and displayed at Pebble Beach and Villa d'Este.
RestoModGuy Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I've said it all along the work in progress you posted, this is truly a Masterpiece and work of art. Worthy of all the alcolades you have and will receive as a Master Craftsman
Zoom Zoom Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Superb work all the way through, and happy that you played your hand and "gave away the farm" to document the build. If it inspires just one person to stretch their wings on a similar project, you've succeeded. Congrats on the win, can't wait to see this in person.
larman Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I was watching "in progress" on this model......absolutely stunning! Certainly one of the finest builds I have ever seen on this site and that is saying something because there are a good number of phenomenal builders here!!! Superior design and execution!!
bbowser Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Outstanding concept and execution, well deserved of any and all accolades you receive. Thanks for sharing.
Kit Basher Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 That came out amazing! Great concept and flawless execution.
gtx6970 Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 I saw it in person on the table at the Buckeye Classic. I can honestly say pictures simply don't do it justice Impressive is a huge understatement
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 A superb piece of work, for a variety of reasons. Thanks for sharing the process of building such a fine model.
exesivefire Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 (edited) As someone who has been lucky enough to see it up close and personal as well as watch the build in real time, I can honestly say this is one of the nicest models I have ever seen created. Pictures do not do the amount of thought and detail put into this justice in any way. In real life it almost doesn't seem real.hope you are making room for all the new awards you will be bringing home this year Edited March 22, 2017 by exesivefire
