The Ford GT is a snap kit?  That's a shame.  I suspect it is the same as this kit.

This one is tempting. Even though I have enough of all three kits. Three classics kits, and great box art. I may have get one. Even if I never get around to building.

I'm waiting for my Datsun pickup truck. Most of the rest of what's been anouced in the above list, has been reissued enough, and I have in my collection.

Why's that a shame? It's a very nice "curbside" kit. Now, the Gulf decals are not enough to get me to buy another one. But, I do like the kit.

I have not looked at the kit in years and now that you mention it there is a lot more than I expected for a snap kit.  If I did not have 50 Mustangs to build I might get to it this decade.  Maybe my 17 year old son will build it.  He loves Ford GTs.

It has an engine, its not a kurbside.

Its not a one of those evil curbside kits, it does have a engine .

My personal opinion of that kit is its pretty craptastic, and barley the worth the $5 you can pay for it at swap meets, no way worth what the MSRP its going to have from Round2

What does "craptastic" mean? Is that good or bad? I'm guessing bad, from what else I'm reading above. Again, I think the kit is pretty nice. And I do consider it a curbside. Only the top of engine is seen. From what I remember, I don't think the rest of the engine is there in this kit. It's been 10 years or so since I built mine. So I maybe wrong on that. But, the one I built. I remember went together just fine. Looked good. And like the real 2005 Ford GT when it was done. It's a nice kit.

It has a whole engine , it is not a curbside.

I wonder if that '65 Continental will be a convertible or suicide-door hardtop?

I would assume yet another reissue of the convertible.  The sedan tooling is presumably gone.

I think the '65 Lincoln Continental convertible is the only one which still exists. It was last reissued by RC2 in 2006, so I would expect the same kit with new decals, tires, and retro box art.

The hardtop's never been reissued, so I'm guessing convertible with the station wagon custom version like always. If you find a gluebomb '64 or '65 sedan the roof can be swapped onto it; the package shelf in the rear will need to be extended.

Edit: Casey, Rob - one more and we have a barbershop quartet!

The Cobra racing team is coming out ? Yes !  I will be all over that ! I will need two. One to build and another for my Cobra collection. Very good news !

SO this mean you still building models?

You coming to the swap meet this Saturday?

And here's my example, in progress:

Some Ford GT pics.  Nice detail for a snapper.

Note...this is a prototype of sorts, the Heritage color scheme might not match what comes in the box, and I believe the production kits will include the black pinstriping separating the colors on the 1:1

That's pretty cool.  I have a 1/18 Beanstalk die cast of the Gulf scheme from when it was new.  And I think I built one of these.

Would be neat if they adjust the height of the windshield and backlite.

I'd like that too Luc! But I ain't holdin' my breath for them to ever fix that! I built one many years ago and did the fix on the front and the rear.....I sure wish I could show what I did, but the model got lost in a move------looks to be forever lost. :(

Interestingly, AMT did correct it somewhat on the Cyclone kit------at least it doesn't look so offensive, but my eyes might be playing tricks on me.
