I had used a decal to simulate the Mexican seat blanket. It looked OK. But it didn't have any depth of texture. But not having a better solution I decided to live with it. Then @gasser59 offered up a better solution. Printable fabric. Messages went back and forth and boom. The so much better solution. So the original and the way better. If it isn't too late, dont forget to tilt the distributor as Y block dizzies aren't straight up and down. Your build is a work of art!

I had almost forgotten about that.
Dave Darby Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Y blocks have an external oil pump mounted on the left rear of the block. That's why the distributor is slanted. This is one I built for my wife.
tim boyd Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Fred.....glad to see you back at this one. Simply killer. TIM PS - check your voice mail.....TB

Taxdude Posted November 7, 2018 Author Posted November 7, 2018 Only a few days to go until Motor City NNL and I'm down to final assembly. Since I use epoxy there is a lot of glue and wait. But some progress is being made but the list of to do's is still quite long

Spex84 Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 MAN, this thing is nice. I'm very impressed by the opening windshield--that's a detail I considered adding to my bare-metal '30 but it seemed too darn finicky to be worth it. Fantastic detailing!
