bauercrew Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Ok guys heres what up next ,,,this was just a masking technique experiment with different items on the cab(hence the three diff colors) with different tape and different masking fluids,i can tell the decals are going to give me a fit ,seems like there dryed and brittle but will see, havent decided on rims ,,should i leave them chrome ,or strip and paint ,,what you think???
Casey Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Sorry. Not sure what you thought there'd be to laugh at, though. I see a cleanly painted engine and very nice three-tone interior, so other than a bit of crazing(?) of the plastic on the top of the dashboard, it looks great. I would do something to the wheels...maybe white to match the stripes?
bauercrew Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Thanks Casey ,wasnt sure what people intake would be especially the steering wheel ,,and yep i got the rims soaking now ,painting the center section white ,may be the outer part of rim alclad stainless steel ??? that part still up in air
martinfan5 Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Clean building is nothing to laugh at, and I see some clean building.
bill lanfear Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Looks great! The seats look especially real! Good job all around!

espo Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Great looking paint job, Black is very unforgiving color. I think the 3 color Interior gives it a little more interest. The only thing I would consider at this point might be a different color for the Air Cleaner Element. Depending on manufacture I have seen red to dark red and even a green one.
1930fordpickup Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I agree with the above statements, nice work.
slusher Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Fantastic looking work and painting. Love the interior!
Jim B Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I think it looks really nice, and I especially like the 3-color interior. David is right, though; black can be very unforgiving. Looks like you did a nice job on the body. The air cleaner could even be pink, like K&N. It's not cheap, though! It's $368.
Leonidas Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Sorry, wasn't paying attention to any of the text...just checking out the...er...eye candy in picture 2...
89AKurt Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 It's late, I read "van" and thought a Viper powered minivan. LOL You want to add some interesting figures to that display?

kymdlr Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Build looks great. You don't often see 3 color interiors that look good, yours is great. I think it would look good with some "20 or bigger wheels.
danielhlt Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Like the interior, strips on steering wheel not to my taste but looks good. The body looks great, smooth like glass. Can’t wait to see it all complete. I agree with post above that white wheels would look good, maybe newer Viper srt10 or ACR wheels
