This is a build of mine from about five years ago.  I scratched built the picnic basket, the plaid blanket and the binocular case that are in the interior.  I used the kit decals for the wood paneling and did the wood framing using Tamiya acrylic paint with a wash of oil paints.  The whitewalls were done using Apple Barrel white acrylic craft paint.  The body was painted using Model Master British Crimson.  The roof was done in flat black then lightly rubbed with a soft cloth.  All of the kit chrome was removed and replaced with Alclad chrome.  I used Bare Metal Foil for the body moldings.  For a gloss finish, I sealed the body color with a coat of PFM (Future).

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Very nice work on the Woody. The framing bits of the body replicate the look of wood very convincingly. Overall a wonderful build. Nicely done!

Beautifully done- that wood framing looks great, as does the paint. I like how your wood has highlights, subtle graining differences that accurately portray the right look while staying "in scale."

Sweet wagon.  This the best build of this kit that I have seen.  Excellent work woodgraining the frame.  The picnic basket, blanket and binocular case are nice touch.
