Hi-Po Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 This is a build of mine from about five years ago. I scratched built the picnic basket, the plaid blanket and the binocular case that are in the interior. I used the kit decals for the wood paneling and did the wood framing using Tamiya acrylic paint with a wash of oil paints. The whitewalls were done using Apple Barrel white acrylic craft paint. The body was painted using Model Master British Crimson. The roof was done in flat black then lightly rubbed with a soft cloth. All of the kit chrome was removed and replaced with Alclad chrome. I used Bare Metal Foil for the body moldings. For a gloss finish, I sealed the body color with a coat of PFM (Future). I hope you enjoy the photos.
Bainford Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Very nice work on the Woody. The framing bits of the body replicate the look of wood very convincingly. Overall a wonderful build. Nicely done!
Twokidsnosleep Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 (edited) Beautiful classic, really well done It is like Harry is back, this was his style too with perfect build and good photography Impressive Edited July 12, 2018 by Twokidsnosleep
gman Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Beautifully done- that wood framing looks great, as does the paint. I like how your wood has highlights, subtle graining differences that accurately portray the right look while staying "in scale."

Lunajammer Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Just lovely. I could sure picture a Chris Craft boat behind it.
Hi-Po Posted July 14, 2018 Author Posted July 14, 2018 Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. It is appreciated. Terry
carrucha Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Sweet wagon. This the best build of this kit that I have seen. Excellent work woodgraining the frame. The picnic basket, blanket and binocular case are nice touch.
