RandyB.
Just finished this old tooling MPC 1980 Corvette. Took a lot of tweaking to get this build looking realistic and to obtain the correct stance. Ton of fit isssues too.
Gramps46
Despite the challenges it looks like you nailed it. Very realistic.

ZIL 111V
Beautiful! Very, very nice "fit n finish" for an MPC car kit of that time/period.
Monty
Randy, I'm a huge fan of the C3 'Vettes, having owned this one for 20 years. I've got a dozen or so of the '80 - '82 MPC Corvette kits waiting to be built, so it was nice to see someone post up a completed one. My compliments on your paint and assembly work. Always nice to know which exact paint the builder used. Couple questions: 1) Could you elaborate on the fit issues you had and how you dealt with them? I'm particularly interested in how you got the stance lowered. 2) Any pics of the chassis?
Dragonhawk1066
Yeah, some of those old MPC kits really don't like to go together very well at all, but yours looks fantastic. This one looks like it was well worth the effort. I really like that yellow too Edited September 21, 2018 by Dragonhawk1066
Jonathan
Nice work on a bit of a dog of a kit. Really looks great!

MrObsessive
Beautiful 'Vette Randy! I'm restoring a '74 right now and yes-----they don't like to go together without some fuss. Particularly in the nose area is where I had to do a lot of surgery to get it to look right.

ismaelg
Beautiful job! It looks fantastic! Reminds me of the Junkman movie (different wheels) You don't see these built very often. Thanks for sharing!

Classicgas
Nice, one complaint, Goodyear Polyglass tires were not available in 1980. BF Goodrich Radials would have been likely.
Rider
Outstanding finish and exterior detail work Randy. At first glance I thought it was a real car from the first photo. The panels lines are definitive without being in your face or out of place, really great work.
