Matt Bacon Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 This is the simpler version of Gunze's kit, without a ton of etch and details. Built for some friends of mine who had the real thing, at least until the first pair of twins came along... Darn that blinking rear view mirror! It held on all the way to photo time, it seems, and now it's packed up and sent to France, so I'll have to fix it next time I visit! best, M.
Richard Bartrop Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 It still builds up nice. Thanks for sharing!
robertw Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 I believe it was Minicraft that also had a version of this car......now that was basic. Even the basic Gunze kit is Tamiya quality compared to the Minicraft one. You've done a nice job, Gunze had a whole range of English sports cars I wish someone would dust those molds off. Some of those kits were not available from anyone else.
Phildaupho Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Not only is the TR extremely well built but so are the driver and passenger.
bbowser Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Very cool! My uncle had a TR-3 back in the day, thanks for the memory jog.
vintagercr Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Very nice! I had a '59 with a Buick V6 in it. Bought it that way and never finished it.
vamach1 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Not a Mustang or Cobra but it looks great. That windshield looks familar though.

So more than one pair of twins? Wow! Nice build! I'm currently working on a Triumph GT6+. Should be done in a few weeks, I'll post when finished. I have a 1:1 1972 Triumph TR6 that I've owned for almost 30 years. Thankfully now the parts don't fall off it too often!
Erik Smith Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 That turned out very nice. Great work. Excellent work on the peeps too.
ewetwo Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 That's wonderful. And your figures look spot on which I could never do.
Curt Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Excellent job on that Triumph, Matt. Your figures are very realistic, too.

PatW Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Yes Geoff. Well they had to use someone to give it style, because at that time we had no idea about styling at all.
