Madhatter Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Hi everyone. This is my first contribution to this forum, so be gentle I generally build sci-fi and this is one of my favourite builds of late. It's my take on the Industrial Mechanika 1/35 Dragonfly flying craft. I love this machine and the Deathhead Moth flying machine as well (although I haven't been able to buy one yet, I would like to) It's a mixed media kit - the body being resin and the wings photo etched with clear acetate sandwiched between the wing panels. I added some left over PE bolt heads for interest only. The base is scratch built and it has working landing lights. The kit was painted in Alclad and the wood decals were from a German company I can never remember the name of. They're very thin and tear so easily, but they do look good Anyways, that's my first contribution to this forum. I am currently working on the Zvezda Star Destroyer which I am detailing and lighting etc. I can co a WIP here if anyone is interested? At any rate, thank you for looking at my Dragonfly See you around soon Si
Renegade Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Great looking build. Base looks great too. Look forward to more of your builds.
shoopdog Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Now that is super neat and I would love to have your base!

r60man Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 That is awesome. Really nice job, LEDs have made lighting our projects so much easier than it was in the past. A WIP for you other project would be great. My wife loves dragonflies, who makes that kit?

89AKurt Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Nothing like making a good first impression! I've never heard of, or seen such a thing, that's very cool. Very well done. You have any car subjects in mind? I've been seeing more Steampunk themed show cars lately, should be right up your alley.
Madhatter Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 thanks guys - I'm stoked you all appreciate it On 1/13/2019 at 3:29 AM, 89AKurt said: Nothing like making a good first impression! As a matter of fact, I am almost finished my C7R, so yes - a car subject will be shown soon (provided I can stop fighting with the paint!) I wouldn't mind building the Estafette one day either: https://industriamechanika.com/shop/land/26-her-majesty-s-estafette-.html
Scott Colmer Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 That is the coolest thing I have seen in a ling time. You did a great job with it!
