Ok, these came in last week.  I think they look great together.  I so want to do a wash on the 18 wheeler's wheels - they lack depth as new.  Just wouldn't want to mess them up though.  Actually the grill needs a black wash too.

I stop at the CVS in town periodically to look for any interesting diecasts and usually leave disappointed, but not today. Mostly they have the odd sort of generic hotrod, Mustang, or Mopar. This time they had these two sitting on the shelf just begging me to take them home. An Audi and a BMW both in 1/24th. I don't know much about the racing series, but I like the way they look!

I received three fresh from their boxes Franklin Mint cars for my birthday this week. The 1915 Stutz Bearcat, 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196R, and 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gull-Wing. The Stutz did not appear to have ever been displayed. It still had its factory wrapping taped in place. The W196 came without papers, but those are never that important to me. It's how cheap they are. I already had the Stutz and Gull Wing as rebuilders and still paid less for these than I did for them years ago and these aren't damaged and have boxes!

Now if anyone is interested, my other Stutz and Gull Wing are for sale. PM me. They are going for less than I paid, plus shipping. The issues are no wipers and slowly disintegrating tires on the Gull Wing. No cowl lights, or horn bell, bent front axle, and repaired bumper. They still display well in a case.

Yesterday mail brought this Franklin Mint 1965 Corvette.  It fills a hole in my C2 Corvette diecast 1/24 scale collection finally.

I got a couple of new diecasts by chance the other day. The first is a Fast And Furious Jeep. It's supposed to be 1/24th scale, but it may be a little larger?

The other came courtesy of CVS. They were closing a branch here in town and I stopped by and got this Welly Toyota Celica. Not sure what to do with it, but it looks really accurate.

Just in.  The 1/24 BBurago Ferrari 330 P4 shown as the 1967 Daytona 24 hour winner.  Displayed with an original Heller and a diecast Jouef.  The good news is that it is cheap, the bad news is the rivet detail.

At the club meeting Sunday made a deal for a Spark 1/16 Ford GT40.  Only my 3rd 1/16 but hey it's a GT40 so I broke my scale rule.  Got it home and discovered the windshield wiper was missing.  My friend searched everywhere for it but without any luck.  I went online and found lemansdecals.com sells PE wipers in multiple scales so order some.

Looks good, Gary - is this the Bruce McLaren/Phil Hill 1964 Le Mans car?
