Just how did you get that Arctic Blue Metallic to come out looking like that!?  I've been trying to spray the body of a 53 Ford pickup, and I'm bout to probably have to start again cuz of spray issues.

Overall that is one sexy build.

For the Arctic Blue Metallic paint, I simply mixed two parts paint to one part thinner.  I used the generic brand found at Lowe's.  Air pressure was set at 20 psi and I applied two mist coats after which I applied three heavier coats to get maximum coverage.  BTW,  Tamiya white primer was used to prime the body before I started the painting.  After the paint had dried for a week, I then used sanding pads to smooth the paint.  This was followed with Novus #2 and finally a coat of Meguair's Gold Class Car Wax.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.  It is appreciated.

Loves me some GT-40! One of my must builds that I have yet to do. Nice job, great detail, those blue lines on the tires look pad printed! Keep up the good work!

VERY nicely done!!!!...its crazy how close this Revell kit looks like a Fujimi!

It looks like a Fujimi because it IS a Fujimi kit reboxed from Revell.

At least I am getting a little closer.  I created a Gurney circle from the more aerodynamic kit bubble which is on the Lemans cars.  In researching the #98 it's amazing how many of the diecast (Exoto e.g.) are incorrect when it comes to details like which side the gas cap is on.  I hope mine turn out half as nice as yours.

Daytona runs counter clockwise and  the cars fueled on the left hand side, at Le Mans runs clockwise and the cars fueled on the right hand side.

Ford Racing got it right on this particular car, and your build is a testament to that beautiful beast.  Years ago (around 50+/-) I had the IMC GT-40, a very intimidating kit, it never got built.  Would like to find one of those or a Revell, like this one, to take my chances again.
