dragcarz Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 You have to admit that the Monogram kits build up nice and quick. I shot it with Testors Silver Blue Metallic, close to GM Marina blue, White interior and parts box wheels. The kit wheels just didn’t look right, too big looking and when I measured them they scales out to nearly 18 scale inches.
roadhawg Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Beautiful! Yes, I just love those old Monogram kits. Good call on the wheels, those look perfect on there.
Hmann68 Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Very nice GTO, always had a soft spot for the monogram kits. Nice work
Geno Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Roger, that is gorgeous, I've built this one a couple of times over the years,
espo Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 That looks great. I like the colors for the interior and the exterior. With little more than some paint detailing the engine and the chassis really look good.
james460 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Worked with a young guy who had a 64. It was light green, bench seat maybe, not sure. He had made a ram air system for it using dryer hose with the scoops mounted under the bumper. Nice looking GTO in a not seen much color.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Nice looking Goat! Really like the color!
KWT Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 very nicely done! Love those old Monogram kits!
Plowboy Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 That's a sharp looking GTO! Where did you get the S200 wheels?
dragcarz Posted September 5, 2019 Author Posted September 5, 2019 I found the wheels in my parts bin, I don’t know where they came from, I just thought they worked much better than the kit wheels,

Geno Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Thanks Roger, I actually scavenged those from a scrap 1/24 GMP diecast GTO, I keep a bunch of scrap diecast and model parts on hand for such projects lol. ?
